3.0 out of 5 stars rent it i guess., September 3, 2006
This review is from: Casino Royale (DVD)
the movie starts off well with it's humor, but you eventually find yourself lost as the plot branches out. there were plenty of scenes that really had nothing to do with the rest of the movie. what i really got out of the film was that peter sellers was the only one keep ing the movie together. there's too much humor that is just dated now. atleast rent to see peter sellers.

5.0 out of 5 stars if you own a ds, you have to own deadly silence, February 10, 2006
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
after ten years, the game still holds up well. if you've played the gamecube version, you'll still be pleased with the gameplay of this one. only complaint is that knife mode isn't very interesting. there's too long of a delay behind the actul slash that it's hard to get the precise timing down.

5.0 out of 5 stars get it, November 5, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
the game is great and well detailed, only complaint is the music. whoever did it must be running out of ideas because only two of the new scores were interesting. the recuts of the classics sound great though. combat is good, soul system is good. and it's great to play as alucard again...even if he isn't the strongest of the group.

4.0 out of 5 stars too judgemental, November 5, 2005
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
the game is taking a hell of a lot of flack when it really isn't that bad! the story is predictable, but it's been established that the game of the bad guys in castlevania is to steal a man's woman and watch him squirm. the music isn't bad, i think of it as being like symphony of the night but with a slight dracula's curse sound. two games in the series with the best music. as far as difficulty goes, it's hard until you realize you should concentrate more on dodging than the offensive. in the fight with trevor, i thought it was impossible to get his life down. i later realized i had to watch for his weak points and move in. so if anything, that's a better point in a game. in the process of that, i wasn't getting angry with it because of the real fact that you're fighting a belmont! so he was kicking the hell out of me, but i thought it was awesome. so yes it's not the best castlevania ever made, because we all know which one that was. but this game really is what castlevania is when thrown into the third dimension. love it or hate it, just give it a chance.

4.0 out of 5 stars much better than expectations, October 13, 2005
while the movie turned out to be nicely done, it seemed to lack in a few areas. i found myself laughing at the movie during serious seens. one reason because of christain bale pouting his lips when he was batman and the ridiculous lines 'rattle the cages'. some holes in the story also stood out

4.0 out of 5 stars good, August 8, 2004
the book is good for what it's worth. just don't take it seriously, everyone watching you read it will think you're crazy. i like the book cause i love zombie movies, but it was somewhat inconsistant. such as it's review of a crossbow for a legitimate weapon(negative), and later telling you to bring one because of it's light weight. some would hate it because of that, i just figure he was trying to tell you to just use what ever the hell you find. the book can be interesting to pass the time with

5.0 out of 5 stars near perfect, April 3, 2004
the game does stand well as the 9th game in the series. control is good, sound is great, my only problem was that ai is bad and the game has a "real time" menu like the latest castlevania. overall worth picking up, but you will enjoy it more if you have a modem to play online

5.0 out of 5 stars scooby doo, March 30, 2004
well i didn't want to believe it, but the remake is actually really good. i caught an early show to be on the safe side which actually also amounted to the theater being almost empty so none of the hooters and clappers were present. i love the original so i can't say that it is better, but is a nice adaption of the 78 version. the overall flow of the movie ran together nicely without many bumps. if you do change your mind about seeing this movie, make sure you watch the credits, there is more to be seen. to say a newly released movie is good is something else. there are no good mainstream horror movies anymore.if you can't get passed the fact that it just isn't the original, then there are the cameos and the blood. james gunn has set a nice place for himself with showing that he can write more than just scooby doo. if you like zombie movies at all, you'll have to see this

5.0 out of 5 stars if you own a gamecube, buy it, March 2, 2004
this version of the classic out does the original. graphics two vears after release are still the best i've seen on any system, and the resident evil titles are the reason for me buying the system(aside from the gameboy player). i've read about some bitching about controls. control takes a bit getting used to if you're too used to playing the playstation titles, same difference when code: veronica came out on dreamcast. play through the game a little, and you'll catch on. sub weapons were a good addition, besides the fact that some zombies need three daggers to the skull before they go down. and one of the best additions is head shots. now you can do head shots with any gun. stairs are the easiest place to do this.
