2.0 out of 5 stars Cute but fell apart after about 10 uses, December 18, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
At first, we loved it but it broken into pieces after about 10 uses. My son loved it so I got him a 2nd one and hopefully the 2nd one will last longer. We found out that it wasn't made in one piece. All the separate pieces are glued together which makes it easy to fall apart. Too bad for such a cute umbrella.

It looks great! But it's too noisy. Since there is no other complains about the noise, maybe it's just the one we bought. I also saw the other reviews about the cleaning issue and that's a problem for me too.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is how PC port should be developed, September 5, 2013
This review is from: Diablo III - Xbox 360 (Video Game)
I'm actually fairly surprised at how much work Blizzard put into the console version of this game. A lot of aspects in D3 have been reworked from the pc version to make game feels native to the consoles and gamepad controls.

There's been a lot of attention focused on the addition of a local coop mode and the removal of a constant online requirement and auction house for the console versions. But Blizzard was nice enough to bring back LAN capability as well, something that was obviously not possible with the online requirement of the pc version.

Among other changes, instead of controlling player character via mouse clicks ala RTS fashion, player now has direct control over the character via the left analog stick. Blizzard also added a fairly responsive dodge move that is mapped to right analog stick. As a result, fights are a lot more arcade-y (in a good way) and you feel more involved in the thick of it. The combat now resemble something like a fighter where you zoom in to deliver the hits and evade out of the way of any enemy attacks as oppose to standing toe-to-toe with baddies and hacking it out like traditional Diablo combat (of course you can still play D3 like that but the evade feature just adds to your combat repertoire). The camera and FOV are also closer to the action compared to the pc version, partly for technical reason and partly to emphasize the action more.

To accommodate for speedier play and lack of mouse control, looting is now automatic for gold and bodies; player walk over to collect gold and check loot on bodies. That's something I personally really like. You still have to press buttons for item pickups. Blizzard also introduced a quick inventory management system that allows players to quickly compare, equip and drop items without pausing and going into the inventory screen. You just press up on the D-pad and recent picked up items are displayed relative to your current setup with the choice to equip or drop. This is obviously added for local 4 players but I also found it to be very useful for on the fly loot management in SP. Inventory has been adjusted for console control as well, but that's one change that's not necessarily for the better as I still prefer having simplicity of mouse drag and drop for inventory management.

Speaking of items, loot drops have been massively adjusted for the console version. One of the many complaints about the pc version is how many junk items there are in game. According to Blizzard, they've addressed this by scaling back the rate at which items are dropped but have made the items more "useful" in general. And to their credit, I have noticed A LOT less item drops compare to the pc version during my playthrough of the 360 version. Rumor is Blizzard will be making a similar adjustment to the pc version in an upcoming patch.

Due to the limitations of the aging hardware, there are some expected technical compromises with the console version. The visual fidelity is scaled back compared to the pc version and the resolution is native sub-720p to maintain a steady 50-60 framerate. It's jarring at first especially if you are used to the much higher resolution of the pc version but once you get going that's quickly forgotten (at least for me it was).

5.0 out of 5 stars Product with a lot of good features, June 5, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
At it's core, it's a tritium night sight setup for your AKM and it works exactly as advertised. The installation was a breeze, though I had to buy a sight adjustment tool to screw out the front post because my AK didn't come with one. The biggest difference between this and stock sights (other than the tritium inserts) is that the rear sight comes with windage adjustment. It's a quick and easy way to make lateral sight adjustment without messing with the front sight. Also because the thicker size of the front post, the rear slot has been enlarged. I find this change actually speeds up my sight acquisition. The larger front post does block sight picture somewhat and you can mitigate this by adjusting the point of impact to be above the front post.

Overall, this is a great add on for your AK. I plan to get a Midwest Indus. foregrip so I can have a cowitnessing mini RDS.

Some sellers are selling the sling alone for more than the price of this combo. And it's not like the sling is of better quality, it's the exact same thing. I'm very glad I got this before it went out of stock.

1.0 out of 5 stars Saving not worth the quality compromise, June 4, 2013

I don't really care about having exact shades of brown matching Magpul FDE it's a weapon not a toy you doll up. But the material is really inferior to Magpul or other "name brand" covers. It's more rigid and inflexible. Also the size is too small to MILSTD1913, making a PITA to install and take off. I have a feeling that the heat resistant claim is dubious as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works but could have been much better designed, March 20, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Note that there are two types of 4x32 ACOGs, one with long ocular end and one with a short ocular end. RM38 is the RMR mount for the full size models and RM35, which is what this review is on, is the one for shorter models. Make sure you are buying the right RMR mount for your particular model of ACOG. This is not readily apparent at many online sites and I had to find out the hard way.

-Works like advertised, fits an RMR on an 4x32 ACOG (the shorter models)
-Looks Durable

-Price, typical Trijicon that's to say it's extremely overpriced for what it is
-Poorly design afterthought; only really secured from one end, the front end relies on two elevating screws that just rest on the ACOG. It's possible to accidently over do them and tilt the RMR too much upward. Not to mention that the front screws will scratch up the ACOG
-Proprietary screw holes, not compatible with other mini RDS out on the market; Trijicon could have simply drilled another set of holes for better compatibility

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality Unbeatable price, March 20, 2013

Sure, it's a likely a blatant rip-off of another product, probably not milspec and it's made in China. But it's durable (enough for BUIS anyways), fits under my ACOG just fine and zeroed without an issue for me. And you can't beat the price, similar BUIS by more "reputable" manufacturers are selling for $200-$300 which IMO is ridiculous. I can tell you with absolute certainty that they are not worth the extra $180-280. If you are the type of person that's willing to pay on the principle of things then good on you, but don't try to justify that the extra money you paid actually translates to that much better of a product.
