This is a very pretty necklace but it's cheaply made. The upper half of one of the flowers was broken off from the rest of the necklace. I had to return it because it was supposed to be a birthday present.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good grief ...(possible spoilers), October 15, 2012
This review is from: The Secret Circle: Season 1 (DVD)
Senseless plot, superficial 1 dimensional characters, mediocre acting - there is nothing redeeming about this show. It centers more on teenage idiocy - drinking, partying, sex, rather than the premise of the story, and soon loses any semblance of plot that was introduced in the pilot.

Cassy - the only "witch" who is worth a s*** and who wants to explore and understand her powers. But every time she does anything remotely interesting, she is being dumbed down to stupid decision making and going back to mingling with the rest of the teeny boppers.

Adam - useless, boring and full of himself with his never-ending sanctimonious tripe. On the bright side, he wears more mascara than all of the girls combined.

Faye - a teen boper who cares more about alcohol and sex than anything else, and then keeps wondering why her powers are worthless.

Diana - another teen boper who spends most of the series chasing after boys and being useless, but then whines about having no life as soon as she has to do anything remotely magical and help her circle which she started in the first place. Seriously?

Jake - meh.

Melissa - boring, whiny, and clingy.

Soon after the show launches, the group of six breaks in half with Diana, Melissa, and Faye doing nothing but partying and drinking while Cassy, Adam and Jake run around saving the day. Nevertheless, Cassy seems to be doing all of the magic and decision making. What is the purpose of the rest of the group? If they barely use any of their powers, why does Cassy even need them? They barely do anything, their powers suck, Faye can't even take on Eva who has a fraction of her "amazing" powers. The writers are completely clueless.

The romance part is just ridiculous. At the beginning, Adam seems to develop feelings for Cassy while dating Diana, but still declares his love for Diana after they break up, then 5 minutes later is totally in love with Cassy. Jake is also totally in love with Cassy, but does nothing to win her over, and instead has sexapades with Faye and suddenly develops feelings for her at the end.

All of the adults are uninvolved in their kids lives and never question anything. All of the teens run around rampant doing whatever they want.

NOTHING ever makes sense here. And may I add, it is completely inappropriate to have teenagers casually drink this much alcohol in a show about teenagers that is catered to teen audiences.

1.0 out of 5 stars Flop of the year, June 26, 2012
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Diablo 3 is nothing but a poor man's WoW. On higher difficulties, it's a constant gear check where nothing useful ever drops. There is little to no re-playability, there is no variety, the side quests and events are not interesting at all. The itemization makes most of the gear useless and not even worth putting on AH. The storyline and dialogue are mediocre and resemble Saturday morning cartoons, although D3 is rated M. If you can't afford buying off of AH, you have to grind indefinitely to progress in inferno. Difficulty levels vs. classes are completely dis-balanced.

Diablo 3 sold over 6 mil at launch, the sales that are solely based on the promise and reputation of the past games. The game itself has little of anything positive to offer on its on. After all this waiting and hype, we got a mediocre product that failed to meet our expectations and tarnished its developer's name.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful movie, December 26, 2011
Where to start....Well, firstly, why a national/world hero, who received a presidential medal, would be begging for a job? Anyone would hire him, if not for his skills, but in the very least, for publicity. John Malkovich's character was completely pointless and a waste of screen space (nothing against the actual actor, but he was poorly placed), ex: the red/yellow cup nonsense. Actually, about 30-40 minutes of the entire movie could've be easily taken out for the sheer god awful humor. Secondly, what is the purpose of Rosy's character? She is nothing but a piece of a** without any real functionality. Her relationship with Sam is not believable at all. I never bought for a second that they were in love and, in his words, she was "the one". At least Megan Fox was useful, she didn't just offer support to fight Deceptacons and help Sam, we could see their relationship grow and develop from high school acquaintances to full blown romance. But this woman was either flaunted as Sam's mandatory love interested or needed constant saving.

Surely, the movie has a lot of good special effects, but no actual plot, character development, humor, and believable romance. Sam keeps whining about the same things he did in the first film, except that now he should've grown up a bit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Weak plot, bad acting, May 17, 2009
This review is from: She's All That (DVD)
This is one of the worst teen movies I've ever seen. The acting is horrible, the storyline is thin, too many plot holes, etc. Lets forget for a second that the story is incredibly cliche and predictable, but why are there so many undeveloped plot lines? What's with the deal between Zack and his dad? Did they really need to have issues considering the fact that none of them make any sense in relation to the main story? Lanie's stereotypical personality of a geeky loner is just thrown in there only to fit into the stereotype, her personal issues are completely unexplored. It's all about the bet and turning a beautiful "ugly-duckling" into a prom queen. Which is another issues, because Lanie is not unattractive at all.

Another problem is that high school is completely misrepresented. Nobody dresses the way Taylor and her friends do, nobody would go crazy over Zach as the majority of the female population does. Plus, the actors are a decade too old to play high school kids.

This is nothing but a collection of pretty faces with minimum to zero acting talent and direction.

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring, January 18, 2009
This review is from: My Winter Storm (Audio CD)
My Winter Storm is nothing more than a vocal extravaganza. There is no musical creativity whatsoever. The songwriting is average at best. I never thought of Tarja as anything special as a singer. In Nightwish her vocal screw ups were covered up by the music, but here all of her limitation are right in the open. This is just another uninspiring album among the many and with its release Tarja became a pop singer who keeps making awful covers. Smell Like Teen Spirit was bad enough, but she also had to do Poison.

I hope MWS is just an experimentation and Tarja's next album will be a more solid work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally, October 4, 2008
This review is from: Smallville: Season 7 (DVD)
For me, the highlight of season 7 was the final break up between Clark and Lana. The writers took Lana's character way out of its role in the Superman universe, which was insignificant in the series to start with. Sure, she was his childhood or a highschool crush. But their constant drama, break ups and getting back together, constant appologies and mistrust made that relationship detestable. I cannot stand Lana Lang anymore. Personally, i think they should've removed her or given her a lesser role after season 4.

Season 7 also has a very dark atmosphere. Lex goes through some interesting "adjustments" that make him a real villain. But Clark, unfortunatelly, doesn't turn into a potential hero. He whines and cries throughout the majority of episodes. I think i can write a thesis on how many times he appologized and said "this is all my fault". Season 8 needs to make a man out of him AND start working on the Clark/Lois relationship. They don't even look like a potential couple, more like buddies who occasionally engage in friendly rivalry. They definatelly need a lot more chemistry.
