5.0 out of 5 stars Very quick and insightful, December 22, 2013
In "Earn It. Don't Buy It." Jim Tobin provides an excellent and approachable analysis of today's social media marketing landscape. In just enough time to fill a cross-country flight, Jim manages to cover every topic from measurement and ROI to strategy and community management. Jim also provides many third-party statistics and practical examples from his work at Ignite Social Media. While it's very easy to conclude that you should hire Jim's firm once you finish the book, the book isn't a sales pitch and the examples provide strong proof for the points he delivers in the book. I highly recommend this work to everyone involved in social media marketing.

Disclaimer: Jim is speaking at a conference I am organizing and Ignite's marketing manager provided me with a complimentary copy of his book.

The charger arrived as expected and works very well for me. I use it to charge my iPad and iPhone concurrently and it does so without issue.

Targus Laser Presentation Remote (AMP13US)
Targus Laser Presentation Remote (AMP13US)

2.0 out of 5 stars Problems for Macs, February 10, 2013
The remote works as advertised on older Mac operating systems, but doesn't work well on Lion or Mountain Lion. When the receiver is inserted into the USB port, the Mac's audio is muted. A workaround suggested here, unplugging and then replugging the receiver quickly, does resolve the issue, but it's a pain. If you present from Mac's often, I'd look for another solution.

I purchased this stand to hold a reflector and was impressed with its performance. I'd recommend using a sandbag with it, but even without one it works great for my purposes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price, April 10, 2011

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I considered new headphones for months, before needing to make a quick purchase. I went for the value and have been impressed. I do agree with the folks that the headphones are a bit tight, but not uncomfortable. If you're looking to wear them for more than an hour at a time, go for something that fits around the ear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical and engaging, December 19, 2010
Cennydd and James provide an excellent overview of user experience design and lower the learning curve for aspiring practitioners. The book is ripe with the practical tips I've come to rely upon as a seasoned UX designer. I wish this book had existed several years ago when I started UX design, as it's an essential jump start for anyone looking to introduce UX design within their organization.
