1.0 out of 5 stars Bought three pairs, all three died within a week or two., December 26, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Tried 3 pair because fit and sound were great. Returned all three. Within a a week or two of use, every pair died due to the buttons getting stuck in "on" position. For example volume up stuck, volume down stuck, on off switch stuck. My theory is sweat gets in and shorts out the buttons. Another design issue with the rubber cover over the buttons is it flips around so the mic hole and buttons are on the wrong side. It's too bad because this is the best fit and sound I've ever had with a bluetooth headset. i've included a photo with the button section exposed.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a mess: Get some shipping boxes, July 22, 2011

Recieved cartriges not in boxes. All the yellow plastice guards that proected the cylinders were completely off each roll. I got every color of ink all over my hands just unpackaging them. I will not order this again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Video killed the Photograph Star - XZ-1 vs. LX5, March 14, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My review of the XZ-1 is from the perspective of being proud father and the family member in charge of capturing memories (and a major geek). Through the years, I have tried just about every type of camera from the Fujifilm F30 to the Canon ti2, the Lumix GF1, GH1 and so on. My ideal camera is small enough to carry in a pocket (or in my case, a belt holster), has great low light capability, great video capability and some zoom capability.

Many enthusiast compacts and all Micro 4/3 cameras like the GF1, PL2 and so forth, don't fit in a belt holster. That leaves the S95, the LX5 and the XZ-1. The S95 is out due to no video autofocus and slow min. aperture at telephoto.

The XZ-1 fits in my hand better than the LX5 (more room for the fingers of my right hand w/o rubbing the lens barrel), and has a faster lens than the LX5 in a very meaningful and practical way. At the same shutter speed the XZ-1 will be ISO 320 where the LX5 will be ISO 640. At high and low ISO, the Olympus jpeg processing is much more pleasing to my eye than the LX5 (I don't have time to deal with RAW.) I also prefer the XZ-1 28mm over the wider LX5 24mm

But I'm returning the XZ-1 and keeping the LX5 because the XZ-1 video quality is unacceptably poor. The quality is so bad as to be distracting and useless for capturing family memories. Not just the wild focus hunting which would be enough, the compression codec makes everything look soft, digital and just awful. Anyone with a few years shooting AVCHD lite on these Lumix cameras like the old ZS3 will be heartbroken. That's why I have to give 3 stars.

If I didn't need video, the XZ-1 would be perfect.

BTW if you're looking for a killer belt holster for your XZ-1 or LX5 the Lowepro Napoli 30 is a perfectly snug fit and you won't need the lens cover anymore.

1.0 out of 5 stars blurry, washed out (low contrast), inaccurate color, pinkish & bluish whites, March 12, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Put a piece of tracing paper over your existing monitor. This is what you get with this monitor. If you would fly in the baggage compartment for half price, this is the monitor for you. This is the worst quality monitor I have ever laid eyes on. It is offensively bad quality. People always ask, "But did you adjust it?" I spent two hours fiddling with it. Trust me, no amount of adjusting is going to turn this frog into a prince. I think the vast majority of positive reviews are because they're excited to pay about $300 for a 25.5 inch monitor. Yes, it will display something when you plug it in, but if you care what it looks like, you won't be happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars great for exercise, March 11, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you are looking for headphones for a workout, these are fantastic. They won't unseal when sweat gets on them like my super.fi 5 pros which I think is due more to the light weight than the unique earplug shape. The sound is good but half as loud as the super.fi 5 pros which have a greater treble range. Changing songs on the cord control is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Versus etymotic hf5, January 4, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These headphones destroy the etymotic hf5. It must be the dual drivers. Truly awe inspiring sound from an iPod. Compared to the hf5, the sound is much louder, much more dynamic and exciting. Truly no comparison.

Don't use for workouts, the weight combined with your sweat will cause the seal to break after about 20 minutes. The klipsch s4i is a great choice for workouts because it is lighter and will stay in your ear regardless of sweat. It's half as loud and doesn't have as much treble articulation but still sounds pleasing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Versus Ultimate Ears super.fi 5 pro, January 4, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The hf5 produces flat, relatively low volume sound not in the same league as the comparably priced dual driver ue super.fi 5 pro. This is a case where ironically, you need to spend about 25% more than the hf5 to get sound quality worth the money. Otherwise just stick with earphones that came with your iPod. (Yes the hf5 are very small, very comfortable, great isolation, nice cable w/ clip.)

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid these headphones, December 2, 2008
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These headphones perfectly recreate the sound of music playing through a dorm room wall. If you like that sound, you'll love these headphones. How do these headphones achieve "bass"? By cutting the treble and midrange to muffled insignificance. Also, you'll enjoy the crinkly saran wrap sound of the speaker diaphragm going back and forth as you insert them in your ear.
