3.0 out of 5 stars A good alternative for those who can't wear sunglasses or night glasses, August 20, 2014
One of the issues that I face at times is that my sunglasses are Oakley, but they don't help with fog or night vision and night glare. I've had sunglasses of this amber color in the past and they were good, but I had since lost them. The company that makes these sent me one to review, and overall, I found it acceptable for use for those who cannot wear sunglasses or amber night glasses.

The plastic itself is thicker and heavier than I expected ( in a good way ) and the clip is really secure. It works as advertised, and during my use I found that I wished it was a bit longer to drop down further in front of my face. I ended up pushing up my seat a bit so it would cover most of my field of view. When engaged it does as expected and was a clean clear vision.

It had one strange side effect that annoyed me, and it could have been specific to my car, but when I had it folded up against the ceiling of the car (not in use) it would shimmer and vibrate and continually distracted me from the road. I don't know that anything could be done to fix this, but nonetheless it was a distraction.

In the end, I would conclude that this product would be best for those who cannot wear sunglasses or amber style night driving glasses. It provides an alternative to face worn glasses and is effective at what it is intended to do.

By a lot of patient hours, days and years of reviewing, I found myself in the top reviewers on Amazon. This wasn't a goal or result of self promotion, but by focused reviewing. I sometimes get contacted by manufacturers or sellers who ask that I provide an unbiased review. This is one of those products. I assure you that I review what I want, when I want, how I want, in order to share what I feel is the most accurate useful information.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helps avoid the jet lag drag, and caffeine crash., August 4, 2014
I am a caffeine drinker in the mornings and if I crash, but I know it can be vicious cycle. One of the biggest crash issues I face is related to jet lag, and a lot of studies say nothing works, some say skipping meals works, and some say that Viagra works.

I've found that this supplement has helped me when taken right as I start to feel the crash. You know the feeling, like someone sedated you or pulled the plug.

It has never made my heart race or any kind of jittery jumpy side effects (as it advertises not to cause). I got this 15 pack for free to try, and so far I have generally positive feedback, though I am also interested to see how it works more in the long term. So far, I feel the crash, I take two, and things keep on going. It's not like someone shines a bright light on my face and I feel like superman, it's just that I stop crashing, which is what I was looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars What Android is meant to be., August 4, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've had both of the Nexus 7, iPads, Samsung Android tablets and I like this one over all of them. It is thin, feels grippable and while speedy, the most desirable feature is that the screen is super high resolution and beautiful. Everything is crisp and clean.

Battery life has been good for me, and charging has been easy. It accepts chargers that charge faster, like the Powerfast charger for Kindle Fire. I'd have no issues recommending this over an iPad Mini, Samsung Galaxy Note or HP Slate 8 for functionality and overall value.

4.0 out of 5 stars Last minute buy-- pleased with results, August 4, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Three days before an international business trip my iPhone 5 started acting up. It's my company phone, and the only phone they had to give me at the time was a 5C. I had no issues with that, however, all of the battery cases I had would not fit it. I was headed for vacation for a music festival and I knew that I needed extra capacity. The company likes to keep the tether on me even when I'm on vacation, and I'm ok with that being that I don't have to take my personal phone and pay a big international data bill.

This case had the most capacity and best ratings for the least price. I've been mostly pleased with this case. I used it 2 days at the beach and several days at an outdoor music festival.

Fit was great. Charging does take a while, but it is a high capacity case. The LEDs that indicate charging are absolutely blazing bright (this could be good or bad, depending).

I liked that it has a kickstand on the back, and that the charging LED's are on the front instead of the back, and that they continue blinking fully through charging, not just when pressed. Mophie has started having their LED's only flash the charging status when you press them which annoys me as I'm always pressing.

There is only one issue that could be just as much my fault as the fault of the case-- where the top and bottom meet around the sound/vibrate button I found that a small piece of plastic that separates that button is missing or broke off. This does not inhibit the case from being used or impact safety or usage in any way, but I did notice it.

I would have no concerns recommending this case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Others will thank you for it!, August 4, 2014

I hate talking on the phone. That being the case, there are many times for work that I am traveling and I have no other option than to be on the phone. This unit has been a huge upgrade to the previous Motorola unit I had, and while I didn't realize at the time, people can hear me a lot better on this one than on the previous Motorola. Add in the battery charging case and keeping it charged becomes less of a stress than it was with my previous one. Pairing was easy, operation is easy and most of all the people I'm talking to seem to be a lot happier with this one than the previous model I had.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good balance between C, lightening and the feel of an oil free moisturizer, August 4, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Many years ago when I was a teenager, I started with Proactiv and got accustomed to having an oil free moisturizer. Fast forward a lot of years, and I still do like something to put on my face after the shower that keeps my face from feeling tight & dry, not necessarily having to be an oil free moisturizer, but ofen that's what I go for. Sometimes I go for the Ainhoa 24 hours cream but it has also become pricey.

Before this one I was using Vitamin C serum and found that it was able to lightening/fade/remove the sun caused freckles on my face. As I've gotten older they fade away less on their own over the winter. It took about a full month for that to happen, and I was also still using a separate moisturizer because the C serum was a bit tacky after drying.

This product is really filling both of my desires/needs in one bottle-- C, lightening, and leaving with the texture of less dry. I know others recommend a separate moisturizer afterward, but for me that was not necessary. I will plan on continuing to use this single product going forward, and we'll see how things go in the winter and whether a separate moisturizer is required then.

Otherwise, fully recommended for anyone who wants a C serum lightener, or something light and not oily to put on after the shower/washing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made, unique case, August 1, 2014
I got this case as a review unit, and of all the Prodigee cases I've seen, this is my favorite. It fits well, and best of all is a precisely engineered and made case. It's unique in that you can see the "air space" between the back of the phone and the perforated steel. In a way, it probably helps with ventilation for charging and allowing the phone to stay cool.

I'd have no concerns recommending this case. It fits well, leaves the bottom open so you can use any charger or cable with no issues and fits the phone with just the right tension to hold the phone in, but not to risk damaging the phone if you want to remove the case.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great coverage, speed improvement over my previous setup!, August 1, 2014
I would be considered one of those connected home nerds.... lots of computers, connected thermostat, 3 Dropcams, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, Belkin WeMo's... count it all up and I have some 32 devices connected regularly and at most times.

In the past, I have waffled between a single router and having additional routers as "extenders". Sometimes Airport Extreme with extenders, sometimes two Airport Extremes.... until this device. If I didn't use a Netgear device in the past it was usually an Airport Extreme.

My loft apartment actually isn't that huge... but with a building built in the 1800's, real brick and thick solid wood, it tends to be pretty WIFI unfriendly. Getting good coverage everywhere is a challenge, and keeping it stable with so many devices online at all times is also a challenge. This device is working very well for me, and so far I haven't encountered any issues.

The issues that this device has solved for me:

1. No longer necessary to have multiple wireless devices/extenders.

2. No "bog down" issues on other devices when I'm doing some huge uploading or downloading, for example, dropbox or streaming HD Netflix.

3. Better, more consistent coverage

Setup was as simple as any router and very similar to other Netgear devices I've bought. I usually don't need to read in the instruction manual, but the quick start guide offered a quick video tutorial so I used that. It was easy to understand and I had it set up in no time. It will work in bridge mode or router mode. I tried it in both.

After the initial connection I logged in and did a firmware update. It had no issues. Changing the SSID to my normal SSID was simple & fast, this way I don't have to visit each of my 32 devices to update them with a new SSID and password.

Overall, the upgrade didn't take much time and it really smoothed out my home wireless situation and experience. The router can do a whole lot more than that, but that alone was a huge win for me.

As I continue to use the router I will update the review with any additional discoveries.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saves time and waste by showing you when the device is done charging or still charging!, July 31, 2014
When you're in a hurry, or doing something with your hands and need to check the charging status of your device, it can really be a pain to pick it up every few minutes to check the screen. This cable solves that problem! The LED on the end turns red when charging and blue when it's done. It's great for the workplace, kitchen, car or anywhere that you don't want to waste the time picking up the phone or device all the time to check on charging status!

The only thing that I'd change is that the light is pretty bright. It doesn't have to be that bright or encompassing. I could live with a more pinpoint style LED like on the end of Macbook chargers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long, thin, works!, July 31, 2014
This cable works well, and I prefer it over some other 6' ones because the cable itself is durable and works well, but is thinner. Other cables seem to get more thick when they get longer, and this makes for a lot of wasted storage space when you travel with it.

Long, trim, works well, the end!
