Combine this with XnExpress Pro and add text functions, etc. and then this would be something special. As it sits, it is a clear attempt to sell us deliberately gimped apps so that they can sell us pieces of the whole instead.

This seems to just be a sneaky way to avoid in- app purchasing by simply dividing full apps in half and selling us the pieces.

No thanks. There is so much better out there, even for free. The value just isn't here.

1.0 out of 5 stars Privacy invading garbage at it's finest., November 6, 2014

A permissions nightmare! Here is a list of the ones that individually and in combination are quite suspect.

Read from external storage
Allows sending in-app billing requests and managing in-app billing transactions
Open network sockets
Access information about Wi-Fi networks
Access the list of accounts in the Accounts Service
Read the user's contacts data
Access information about networks
Allows an application to receive messages via Google Cloud Messaging

Really? No thank you.

Besides, I played the game on a sand boxed copy of Android and frankly, it's boring. Jump around and knock stuff over. Over and over again. But that is beside the point. There is NO EXCUSE for all of these permissions for a GAME. NONE.

And for good measure, the developer included some ad network code without disclosure, as well.

SO yourself a favor, even as the FAOTD... don't just run... POUNCE away from this mess of an app!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, November 5, 2014

As a photographer (by that I mean I have gear, will and do travel and have been paid to do it) I can only wish that a reference like this was available when I was first starting out.

Explains often tricky concepts beautifully. Nothing to dig through to get to the useful information. No filler. Well organized. Expertly composed.

I highly recommend this app. It is quite useful and informative. I also love how they tossed in EV and DOF charts as a bonus. Nice touch!

5 stars!

2.0 out of 5 stars So close yet so far, November 4, 2014

There is so much wasted potential in this way too short, dreadfully easy (even at the hardest level) too simple game. Just a bit more effort could have really exploited the story. The game just screams for more levels, enemies, skills to earn, etc.

It took me all of two hours to plow through it and then tried the hard level. I stopped halfway through because it just wasn't hard.

This game reeks of potential. As it sits it is only worth a play as a free app but just doesn't have the value to justify the normal asking price.

It is a five star game that never happened. I have no choice but to rate it low because of the lack of value for the money. Add content. Add more worlds. Add more of everything and it will earn more stars.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many bugs and too easy to trip up, November 3, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This app just is not ready for primetime. I tried to convert multiple files in multiple formats and the behavior was always the same: pretty much anything that is not dead simple will not convert properly. Most times, entire pages do not get converted or text will be missing in the output file.

What good is a conversion app that doesn't work and that cannot be trusted? Answer: it's not.

Avoid.

They took a game that was already a privacy invasion before the "revamp" and have turned it into a privacy invading nightmare. It is not even worth elaborating on at this point but suffice it to say, they have ruined it.

If you put the iron ball into the cannon in scene 6 before you pick up the pieces next to it you will no longer be able to pick up the pieces next to it and then can not advance in the game. I'm not starting over just to find another bug after wasting a few hours of my time. Game over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Arkanoid on Android, September 3, 2014

Remarkably similar to a classic 8 bit game called Arkanoid. Runs absolutely beautifully on every device I have tried it on, including my old motorola droid 1 that I tried it on just for fun. No permissions issues to speak of and no embedded third party code of note. This is an excellent game and it plays wonderfully. A great value at price, but as a free app of the day it is a no brainer. 5 stars!

3.0 out of 5 stars Meh. A shameless rip off of Angry Birds., August 19, 2014

This review is from: Monica Bunny Bashings (App)
Okay well it may have bunnies instead of birds but when you boil it all down it's still a "fling something at other things and break things" game.

Yawn.

I'm sorry, but even great graphics and an overly large install footprint (I'm being sarcastic) cannot save a game from a genre that has been milked so many thousands of times already. I must give this game three stars for the graphical effort put into it, but remove two stars from the total of five due to it's ridiculous install size for what it is and it's utter lack of originality. It's just so, so not... new. At all.

I can't give it that fourth and fifth star and remain honest. I just can't.
