1.0 out of 5 stars Worked OK for Two Hours, January 1, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I choose the Elgato Video Capture Device due to the high ratings it received. Yes, it was easy to set up, and it worked OK during the first two hours of use. Then, the video portion started to get flacky with white noise and pooped out entirely after two and one-half hours. Just to be sure the problem did not lay elsewhere, I tried it with two other computers, another set of cables, various tapes, and with both a VCR and camcorder as the playback source for the video cassette. I could see the video playback through the camcorder viewfinder, so the video did in fact exist. Thanks to Amazon for a simple no hassles return policy.

As a side note, if you are using a Windows-base computer, you will need to purchase additional software to convert the generated Quick Times video files to DVDs that can be read by most DVD players. If you try try converting the Quicktime MPEGS using standard MS software that ships with Windows 7 Home Edition, the sound will go out of sync.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Hunger Games, May 29, 2012
Wow. I can't even say haw good this EPIC book is. Good exiting plot, suspensful, interesting, fun, but the main reason why I love these books (yes, all 3) so much is that they have important themes and issues. These books make you THINK! Read this, or your missing out on everything.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, May 9, 2012
I loved the movie, but I thought it was missing something special that the book had. You barely saw Gale, and the scenes with Rue were too short, it was like you barely got to know her and then she died. They did not spend enough time on the game, and the berry scene, the most important, was too short and quick.
But the actors did a GREAT job and the graphics were good. I'll buy the DVD and see the second movie.
