5.0 out of 5 stars Switchfoot Gets Better & Better, September 29, 2009
What I love about Switchfoot is that they continue to improve but also experiment with their music. Every one of their albums have a distinct sound, yet remain true to who Swithcfoot is. This song is a testimony to their expanding horizons and consistently good music. Musically this song provides a surface level enjoyment for the casual listener who just likes to rock out. Lyrically, however, it provides a deeper level of soul searching and contemplation of what we can be ("a mess") and what we want to be ("alive"). Get this song, you won't regret it. The album, "Hello Hurricane" drops Nov. 10th 2009.
