The Story of Fish & Snail (Hardback) - Common
The Story of Fish & Snail (Hardback) - Common
by By (author) Deborah Freedman
Edition: Hardcover
14 used & new from $20.45

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Read Aloud, May 27, 2014
As a school librarian, I am always on the look out for great read alouds. This one is fantastic! The illustrations are wonderful!
Fish and Snail are friends and they live and play in the same book, but Fish oftens slips down into other books and comes back to tell the story to Snail. On this day, however, the story is so grand, he wants Snail to come with him. Snail will not go because he is afraid and much prefers to stay in his book and play kittens.

Fish goes off in a huff. Will this be the end of their friendship? Or will Snail become brave. This is a delightful tale of friendship!

5.0 out of 5 stars Activities that really work!, December 16, 2010
Want a great way to capture students attention when you begin teaching the idea of plagiarism and the importance of summarizing and citing sources? Kathleen Fox's book, Plagiarism! Plagiarism! is fantastic and it works!! My fifth graders have really enjoyed learning through the games and activites Ms. Fox has shared in this book. AND I know they are learning, because I hear them reminding other students.
I have used this book along with the companion book, The Pirates of Plagiarism written by Lisa Downey and Kathleen Fox. There is a bingo game that goes along with this. Want kids to really get the idea of plagiarism that lasts? This is it!
