1.0 out of 5 stars Ummmm, no. Just no., April 9, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this book to add to my collection for the heck of it. Like many other reviewers have stated, it's mostly pictures of her and her kids and a bunch of very basic recipes (with high salt content!) that you can find almost anywhere. I tried the sloppy joe recipe, followed it exactly, and it was inedible due to the amount of salt and vinegar in the recipe. Did anyone bother to test these recipes before publishing the book?

1.0 out of 5 stars Heartbreaking for the children if anyone actually lives like this., August 27, 2011
Who really lives like this? Why on Earth would someone bring children into this world that they had no intention of raising themselves, only to schlep them off on to a nanny at the earliest possible convenience? Kate's character does have the distinction of many guilt-tripped working mothers of buying their children's love when all they need is their parents there, and not more THINGS to fill the void.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book of Historical Significance, March 16, 2003
This review is from: Hay, hell, kids, and cattle
This was a great book, with the exception of some slow parts about different kinds of tractors and whatnot. Highly recommended.
