2.0 out of 5 stars Terrible first half, great second half., February 23, 2013
This review is from: Release The Panic (MP3 Music)
The first half of this album probably took them 30 minutes to write and produce. Its so bland and boring. The second half actually has some feeling to it and is pretty well done. Overall though, by far their worst album yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!, February 4, 2011

If your not hooked at about 1:30 into Father of Lies, the first song, then stop listening. Absolutely brutal metal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still the man without the tea party, February 4, 2011

I love the Tea Party. I was upset when the band broke up. With that being said Jeff Martin is still the man on his own. This is a good collection of accoustic Tea Pary and a handful of songs written individually by Jeff Martin. Damn good stuff, just wish I was at the show itself!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Typical!!, January 15, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Vancouver (Audio CD)
I will never understand how absolutely terrible after terrible bands makes it on to the airways in America with the same garbage that everybody and their mother will forget about within one week of their song being off the air, yet the most incredible music you have ever heard is not even a blip on the radar. Vancouver is yet another "typical" Matthew Good album. Typical in the sense that it is amazing. Every song draws a different emotion from you, and the only questioning you have about the album is why more people in America dont know about it. All I really have to say is purchase it and you will love it.

3.0 out of 5 stars M'eh, January 11, 2010
Was it bad? No. Was it good? No. The story is written around interesting information about D.C. as opposed to adding interesting information into a good story. The ending seemed as though it had nothing to do with the rest of the story. Definately the worst of all the books he made. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could.

3.0 out of 5 stars Longest Movie Ever, December 30, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
The game is basically 70% movie, 30% game. There are times where you watch film for 30-35 minutes between playing the game. Its fun playing but just way to much film.

5.0 out of 5 stars How Fast We Grow, November 21, 2009

The Silent Circus, good. Alaska, great. Colors, amazing. The Great Misdirect, there is no word to describe. I loved the band a while ago and when Colors came out I didnt think there would be a better album ever created. Although the whole album is fantastic White Walls is probably the best song ever made. But this album destroys Colors. The best way to describe this thing is an emotional rollercoaster. There are only six songs that can really be broken down into about 15 different tones. Some points make you want to smash windows and go insane, but others make you want to relax and drink some scotch. How people can make music this incredible is just ridiculous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore ties gone forever?, September 1, 2008
Thrice was excellent as a hardcore band, now they are excellent in whatever genre they call this. I anticipated this cd to be quiet as volume 2 was quiet. But I thought they did an excellent job. The best songs are Broken Lungs, Moving Mountains, and Come All You Weary. Just a great listen if you are in the right mood. If you want to rock out listen to their old work and volume 1 of this series. I just wonder if their next cd will be like this or like the old Thrice that gave them their fan base.

If there has ever been a party metal album, this is it. Its a great metal album, but the lyrics make it just insane. If you love metal, and fun this is the best album you will have ever heard. If you listen to Stupid? you will understand the title of this review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dominant... almost, July 26, 2007
Because I thought their debut was one of the best albums of the year last year, I didnt expect anything better with this album. Although I still dont think it was as good as "The Melody..." there are enough amazing songs such as Q, Pin-up, and The Pursuit, to make this a great listen. Again its not as good as the debut, but if you want to hear some great music and you loved the debut as much as I did, then definately check it out.
