Cute book. I will need to buy the others in this series.

Reminded me of works by Elaine Fox, particularly Man at Work and Hot Stuff.

Karly Eriksson is juggling several back-to-back shifts at the The Scotsman and striving to finish college while trying to maintain contact with her little sister Emma who is estranged and resides with their abusive and neglectful parents. One wild night the previous summer she let herself get carried away with Randy Mackenzie, the tattooed bouncer at Felony. She wasn't anticipating any attachments from the hookup, nor was she willing to let any more complications into her life. But now he keeps turning up in her life - in her college classes, at her workplace, several nights offering rides. Despite what she thought, Randy had developed some feelings for her. The only thing is, he is holding onto baggage of his own that will hold him back from becoming too involved with Karly once more and emotions he won't dare let anyone see. He is striving to better himself as well, including providing for his son and aiming to show his ex that he can be the father he needs. Though no matter how much life seems to keep slapping him down and has him realizing he needs to organize on thing or the other, he can't stay away from Karly. How can he overcome these obstacles and help Karly overcome hers as well? It is one crazy merri-go-round with these two characters try to hold onto their friendship, but battle their romantic feelings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, February 13, 2015

Pleasantly surprised how much I liked Carly and Randy. It was nice to see them with their own histories and problems beside the supportive friend and sidekick role in Intoxicated.
I found myself flipping the pages just as fast as the first book. Randy is extremely loveable, aside from the humorous and friendly attributes shown in Intoxicated. I definitely need to see the continuation of their story in Vindicated

Ok. First off, I would like to say I wasn't sure what to expect with this one.. with an author I had never heard of.
Two, the chapters sucked me in straight away. I had a hard time putting this down after breaks during work. And I darn near read half the book in one day.

Thank you Jeana for the Kindle freebie. I will definitely be looking for the other two published.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun book. Best to buy the 3-book series., February 3, 2015

Meg is freshly fired from her job and looking for something new and fun for easy money. Answering an ad for a bartender has never seemed so confusing, as she enters Greyson's office and told she'll be given a bunk for the night with a roommate. The real interview will consist of three days of tests. However, the tests don't interest her much. Meg can sense something is off in this establishment, and going into detective mode as well as her pressing attraction with Greyson is far more appealing. Only thing is... she's been found out...

Another book fairly similar I would recommend is Weak for Him, by Lyra Parish

2.0 out of 5 stars Buy for $0.00 but not worth a full price, February 2, 2015

I have to admit, this book was better than Liv's book. But the author once again takes us back to silly gossip land between the characters. Alice sits and ponders her one night with Aidan because Liv is happy with her boyfriend. We learn that the one night with Aidan was 6-yrs prior, but she's still hung up on him. Then we get a glimpse into Aidan, who sounds like a major bum though he's majorly attractive. But sorry. The few snippets of interaction between he and Alice make him sound like a skeeze. Besides more of the immature silly conversations between the girls, the storyline is quite annoying

1.0 out of 5 stars Complete waste of time, February 2, 2015

Story starts out in summary form, which right off I am not impressed. Then skimming ahead, she explains she's dropping her panties for a sexy stranger. Ok, the girl is 22 in this book but acts like a 15yr old. Omg. Couldn't stand how immature the character is and possibly the author?

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun adventure that holds tension on every page, February 1, 2015

While I appreciate the story line here, with Riley the American stuck in Italy, penniless, stabbed from an encounter at the airport and at the mercy of a Billionaire.
Matteo has called his personal doctor to stitch up the wound. Matteo learns of a will from his father, from beyond the grave he intends Matteo to marry within a month of his 25th birthday to maintain holds on the family business. His stepsister will do what she can to watch Matteo fail his father's last wishes. Though both of them despise the orders of the will. Matteo will do what he can to ensure Riley be his blushing bride, as these feelings overwhelm them both, this hightened awareness and need between them. It promises at least a months-worth of discovery...

Though the storyline is rather twisted and fun, the characters have too much inner dialogue that drags at the scene, and this Kindle book could have used major editing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unreal. Quite disappointing, January 20, 2015
Amateur- ish, and quite uninvolving. The first few chapters are mostly written in summary form. And the love interests are frozen and uncomfortable with each other. But then in the blink of an eye, they jump each other in a dark, private room at a concert.
It definitely wasn't what I had expected.
The Sterling Shore series by C.M. Owens is way better.
