5.0 out of 5 stars well written, scary and too real a scenario., March 12, 2006
Some writers have a talent for describing current reality in the guise of science fiction. Octavia Butler was one of the best at this. Her dystopia in this and the sequel Parable of the Talents is so close to our own reality that it is quite scary. It is also a quick read. Her work has always been good reading and this is no exception. Want to see the end product of rampant corporatism? Read the book. The way things are going in the US of A, we may well need a leader like the heroine Lauren Olamina Bankole but you can get some of Lauren's wisdom from reading Octavia's Parable books for yourself. You won't regret it. A few of her words below.

"Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought

To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears.

To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists that control the fool

To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen

To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies

To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery."

5.0 out of 5 stars Paradigm shattering and a must read, March 12, 2006
It's long but a must read. It will make you pay closer attention to the signs in our reality because the implications are huge!!!

Have you ever read a book that tackles the major questions concerning life on our planet? Answers to questions like what does objective reality look like or why is our world the way it is now are outlined in this book. Thoroughly researched, Ms. Jadczyk draws on art archeology, science, philosophy, religion, her investigations into the paranormal and more to help us see what the history of mankind has been trying to tell us all along. Namely, that we are responsible for our being and the tools for taking responsibility has been artfully hidden via distortions, disruptions and manipulations. She shows us how to go about finding the tools and to develop the skills to overcome the lies we are fed daily. As it says in the book:

"[...] Life experiences reflect how one interacts with god.

Those who are asleep are those of little faith in terms of

their interaction with the creation...People who pay

strict attention to objective reality right and left become

the reality of the future."

Ms Jadczyk outlines the process of paying strict attention and tells us why it must be done now. If we don't, history has a way of repeating itself through cataclysms both natural and manmade. She even shows us how all the signs point to this cyclic process unfolding today and how we can prepare ourselves for it. It is not going to be through building underground bases or being saved via rapture but you have to read the book to find out.
