Chris Walters was born in Arkansas, where the Mississippi River armadillos carry leprosy, and he grew up among the cotton fields and dust devils of West Texas, where he never saw an armadillo. He has, however, seen a dead body up close.
He's written for The Consumerist, PCWorld, and--very briefly--the New York Times' Gadgetwise (a short article about the Amazon Kindle, in fact). His first short story, "The Renfields," was published by Weird Tales Magazine in 1998.
He currently lives in Brooklyn.
