A writer and visual artist, Kristy Bowen is the author of several books, chapbooks, and zines, including the longer projects SALVAGE (Black Lawrence, 2016), MAJOR CHARACTERS IN MINOR FILMS (Sundress, 2015), GIRL SHOW (Black Lawrence, 2014), THE SHARED PROPERTIES OF WATER AND STARS (Noctuary Press, 2013), IN THE BIRD MUSEUM (Dusie Press, 2008), and THE FEVER ALMANAC (Ghost Road, 2006). She holds an MFA in Poetry from Columbia College and an MA in Literature from DePaul University. She lives in Chicago, where she runs DANCING GIRL PRESS & STUDIO, which creates a variety of open and limited edition books, art, and paper goods. Her seventh book of poems, LITTLE APOCALYPSE, is due out from Noctuary Press in 2018.
