This indie centered festival has all of the up and coming bands you've been hearing about. This year's festivities include performances by Beach House, Japandroids, and Hot Chip, plus at least 50 other bands. For those of you who are going, we've picked out a couple of our favorite live acts and some hidden gems deep in the schedule, and for those of you who have to work, we've got albums from most of the acts at great prices so you can create your own festival at home.
MP3 Albums from 2012 Pitchfork Festival Performers
Why You Shouldn't Miss It: The fourth album from critically acclaimed duo Beach House doesn't disappoint and neither does their live show. The slow luxurious vocals of Victoria Legrand layered over the hazy key board driven melodies of Alex Scally are something not to be missed. Download "Wild"
Why You Shouldn't Miss It: In 2007 Feist broke out with her single "1234" and emerged from the folk world to be a household name. In October 2011 she followed up with her fourth album Metals, to popular and critical acclaim. Her live show is full of intense vocals and singer-songwriter intensity. Download "1234"
Why You Shouldn't Miss It: One of Amazon's featured Artists on the Rise for the month of July Japandroids are poised to make 2012 their breakout year. Celebration Rock, only the bands second full length release, is a fantastic and fully formed homage to garage rock and the energy that music can inspire. Download "The House that Heaven Built"
Why You Shouldn't Miss It: Sleigh Bells puts on a live show full of intensity, energy, and beats that make you move your feet. Reign of Terror, the duo's second full length effort is one of our favorite albums of the year so far, with shredding guitar solos and the full force vocals of leading lady Alexis Krauss.
