I bought this iron after buying an instyler iron that broke on me after a short time. So far, it is working great. I have very coarse, thick, wavy hair. This iron straightens it with no problem. It will do flips, but it takes some practice. I wish it came with a better user manual. This iron is less than half the price of the instyler and is easier to operate. It does not curl hair, but the instyler didn't either as it claimed. I read some of the other reviews about this product that made me laugh. This product will straighten your hair. HOWEVER, humidity will cause hair to re-curl or frizz no matter how great it looked after you straightened it. Don't blame the iron! I was a Revo styler user for years and it finally bit the dust. I looked around and decided to get the Babyliss Prof Nano Titanium because the barrell is metal and holds the heat better than I imagined the Conair would. I used to get cramps in my arms trying to blow dry my hair and it would always leave it puffy so I would still have to use a flat iron or curling iron. That's not the case with this baby. It's really a 3 in 1 one machine and cuts my styling time in half. I was a little skeptical at first because some stylers don't work well on black hair but this really did. My hair is permed/relaxed, thick and long(a little bit past my bra strap) and this styler ... full review
