I bought this iron after buying an instyler iron that broke on me after a short time. So far, it is working great. I have very coarse, thick, wavy hair. This iron straightens it with no problem. It will do flips, but it takes some practice. I wish it came with a better user manual. This iron is less than half the price of the instyler and is easier to operate. It does not curl hair, but the instyler didn't either as it claimed. I read some of the other reviews about this product that made me laugh. This product will straighten your hair. HOWEVER, humidity will cause hair to re-curl or frizz no matter how great it looked after you straightened it. Don't blame the iron! Also, it takes longer to straighten hair as you need to section it and take your time. If you fly through your hair, ... full review
"Great Product, but not a Swiss Army Knife..." - By John Keitz (Nevada)
This product worked very well as advertised. It is very good for brushing out long hair while partially drying it. On the plus side, my wife tried to tangle her hair with it, and it simply would not tangle, which is a first! As impressive as that is, there are mote positives. I tried touching the brush while on and found that I was unable to find a way that would result in a burn, so this is very safe to use. There are adjustments for temperature as you would find on any quality hair dryer. Also, the cord is a bit longer than your typical dryer, so you have plenty of room to work.
Now for the drawback, and there really is only one. The airflow is a bit anemic. Perhaps this is the only way it could be done, ... full review

"This product works fantastic, as advertised!!!!" - By Barbara Jensen (NORWOOD, MA, US)
It truly works as well as advertised!!! I have used it three days and absolutely recommend buying. I bought mine direct from Theperfecter for $99, it shipped in two days. You still need to blow dry your hair, I have short hair so that takes 6 minutes, then just 3 minutes with the Perfecter and I am finished, the back of my hair is my problem area, now it looks like a professional style. I no longer need to shampoo every day, I can also wear a hat, come in and in three minutes my hair is back to perfection. Thanks so much for developing this product!!!!!!!!!!! It is expensive but well worth the money.
I bought this. The best thing it has is that it rotates. Never buy one that does not. I used this when my hair was short. There were complaints that the barrel is too big. No it is NOT. Now my hair is shoulder length and I use it all the time. I use it best when my hair is sort of drying, I mousse it then use it. Every tells me that I spend hours on my hair. NOT. 10 minutes and it looks like I came out of a salon from Newbury st (Boston). I was so afraid it would die on me and I could not get another so I got TWO! But I use it all the time and no problems. I do not know the other kind and cannot judge it but this is the only tool you will ever need. I have a Chi ... full review
"ceramic irons were invented by Chi; their quality went down, this one is tops for me" - By Chandler
Chi curling irons became famous when they came out with the ceramic plates and their quality was excellent. I recently asked a stylist why that no longer seems to be the case and he said the company was bought by another company and now, having replaced the things that made that flat iron famous, they are selling a sub-par model on the brand name alone now. But people have gotten wiser.
You'll be wowed the first time you open the box with this iron as it touts quality from the packaging to every piece of the iron. Encased in a red silk bag with the Gurin logo, it most assuredly travels in style.
The iron is fanstastic: it has adjustable heat, ceramic tourmaline blades, and is made to last.
Great for hair smoothing, flipping, straightening and I have loads of think wavy hair; it passed the ... full review
