"Track Your Runs: A Nike+ SportWatch GPS Powered by TomTom Review" - By L. T. Beasimer (Dallas, TX)

I was familiar with using Nike+ GPS on my iPhone to track distance and pace while taking our dogs on long walks. Then I signed up with Team In Training to compete in my first half marathon. I trained with a large group of runners with varying experience levels who were split between using nothing, a wrist trainer, or a smart phone. I considered purchasing the [[ASIN:B000CSWCQA Garmin Forerunner 305]], but my coach advised against spending the money. At the time it was probably good advice, but now I want something more sophisticated than the Nike+ GPS app.

The stylish Nike+ SportWatch GPS, made in China, can be worn as a fashionable watch. When used for tracking runs, the SportWatch utilizes GPS satellites used by TomTom to map and track your run while auto-calibrating the shoe pod sensor. When the SportWatch isn't linked ... full review

"GPS Watch" - By slycat

The Times Marathon GPS Watch was exactly what I wanted. It accurately tells me the distance of all of my runs and also the time. I can also set it to tell me my split time at different distances. I have been wanting a GPS running watch for 2 or 3 years to tell me the distance of my runs more accurately than I was getting by estimating them by time. I didn't want to pay $300 or $400 and this came along at just under $100. The display is easy to read and it does update your approximate pace every few seconds. You can also stop and restart the stopwatch if you have to stop at a stoplight. You can store the data from up to 30 runs to look back at later. You have to charge it on your computer ... full review

"Great, affordable watch" - By W. Bourret

I've had this watch for around 5-6 months. My previous watch, a Timex, lasted a few years but eventually died due to water seal failure. I can't yet comment on the long-term durability of this watch as I haven't used it much in water/outdoors. Anyway, here's the rundown:

Hardware

- Very cool, perhaps even futuristic-looking body and digits. Main reason why I bought it and I'm satisfied with it.
- Color is nice and looks almost identical to the picture, although the strap is slightly darker than shown.
- Strap is hard but not stiff. It takes a little getting used to and if worn super tight the buckle will bite into skin. So I wear it looser, and it doesn't usually slip.
- This is a small watch. Both the strap and face are small. I have a thin wrist so it fits me fine but adults ... full review

"Great watch! "current pace" explanation here!" - By jes0012

i have had this watch for about 3 months now. i have never owned any other type of gps enable watch before this one. however, my father owns the forerunner 305 and my mother has the forerunner 405 so i do still have some experience with those watches as well. in my opinion this is the best watch of the group hands down. the watch literally feels like a standard stopwatch. no extra weight, no extra bulk. the 405 does not quite fit like a normal watch due to the antenna extending down into the wrist strap. this watch is extremely comfortable to wear at all times and very adjustable in size (the holes go around the entire strap). this watch is very basic for runners and thus lacks the extra bells and whistles that the 305 and 405 have such as "ghost" trainers ... full review

"Very Cool" - By Randy L. Kieffer (Syracuse area, NY)

This product did everything as promised. I love being able to see where I have run mapped on my computer along with my pacing and timing at any point. Simply plug the USB into your PC and download the program. It's fairly easy to use. So far, the battery life has exceeded the time stated in the instruction manual. It fits well and I will be using this for biking and running, perhaps even kayaking (if I dare). This product was an exceptional price for the functions it provides. I am very happy with this purchase.

"Finally, a great looking women's GPS watch!" - By B. Hernandez (FL.)

As soon as I heard that the forerunner 10 would be hitting the market I did a ton of research on the thing to figure out if it was right for me or not. This is my first GPS watch so I wanted to familiarize myself with all the features and consider if indeed this was the one for me. In the past I was aware that Garmin watches are great but I must say, they are not very attractive (for most women's smaller wrists). This compared with their price point kept me away but the F10 is very affordable and cute in either pink/green. Note the black version is a bit larger than the pink or green. I got the watch about a week ago and so far I love it. The instruction manual it came with is barely needed (and lacks a lot of info anyways). It was ... full review

"One step overboard for the price range?" - By Ellis Godard (Moorpark, CA United States)

I've used a Timex Expedition (B0000D1662) for years, but this is less expensive, more stylish, and more functional - it's as though the prices are backwards.
The IronMan30 has a night-light system that far surpasses the Expedition, with brightly glowing number elements rather than a weakly back-lit face, a more elabore lap/split chronograph, a simpler and more accurate timer, separate day/weekend/weekday alarms, and a recessed face.
That last feature is very important: I've had to replace my Expedition every few years because the face always got scratched, soon after purchase. But the IronMan30 has a recessed face that hasn't been scratched yet!
The IronMan50, by contrast, has what the 30 has plus 20 more laps. If you have more than 30 (even more than 10?) laps to time, you should probably invest in a more expensive watch - one with a heart monitor if not also a compass and/or altimeter, ... full review

"Thisis the Third Timex Ironman watch I have bought" - By J. Red Tripp (ATX)

I just love this watch. If you look around at any running or triathlon event the great majority of folks are sporting this watch in some color or another. It has just about every feature you could expect in a watch: it is great for timing intervals with rest periods, overall races, reminders of when to take nutrition or hydration. It also has several different alarms to get you out of bed and to the start line on time. It is also waterproof, so you can wear it i the pool or an open water swim (don;t push the buttons with the watch submerged, though).
The only drawback I have found is that sometimes I forget how to stop/clear/reset a certain cycle of timing, but then I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I usually just ask the nearest person with the same watch (there is ... full review

"Function and value" - By Nigel

Similar to a lot of the other Ironman watches, which I've owned several of. My last one was significantly cheaper (can't bring the model number to mind) and died about 3 weeks after purchase. I took it to a watch store and the guy who looked at it had no clue as to the cause of death.

Anyways, so far, this one does just about everything I want in a basic watch. Easy to read display, buttons work well, pretty easy to use overall. I haven't been wearing a watch for quite a while, so I have a few hot spots where it's a bit uncomfortable. But I'm expecting that to go away over time (as it has in my experience).

Since it's such a basic watch, I can't say a whole lot about it, but I will say that I think my ... full review
