"Incredibly Pleased" - By Mike

After a lot of research on quality headphones, I stumbled upon these beauties. I'm just getting interested in quality audio; therefore, I was looking for the best entry level headphones my money could buy. No bull, these headphones are outstanding for the price. The packaging, a canvas box with an additional carrying case, complements the retro look of these headphones. During my journey, I listened to some BOSE at Best Buy, and I think these Fischers are just as enjoyable as the BOSE. I'm an amateur musician, and I enjoy the clarity these headphones provide when I'm picking out individual instruments in a song. These headphones are greatly under priced, in my opinion. I would have paid more for these headphones after listening to them.

"Excellent sound and clarity" - By sjr

I had the first version of these IEM's and they sounded great. Unfortunately the quality was sub-par and after 8 months the left side gave up. Fortunately a new version came up and I must admit Fischer Audio did a great job updating these earphones. The feel is a lot sturdier and they do continue to sound awesome. There is no real significant change in the sound signature which translates into a very accurate sound reproduction with very well controlled bass. Many people define the DBA's as bright and bass shy but I do not consider this as a fair depiction of these IEM's. I just believe that the majority of people prefer bass heavy phones and these do not carry that sound characteristic. Personally, I prefer these to my Etymotic HF5, Klipsch S4 and ATH-CKM99.

"Great balanced IEMs: Never judge by the brand" - By roliver33

I had low expectations because I had never heard of this brand, but reading reviews on head.fi pushed me to try these out. I was looking for IEMs with a rich, balanced sound, without neglecting the low or high ends. These IEMs had exactly what I wanted, performing well at both frequencies without distortion or punchy bass-iness. However, I didn't like the ear tips they came with. I am partial to flanges but these really didn't seal well or stay in the canal. I hadn't tried the buds because I haven't liked buds on any headphone I've tried yet. I bought comply tips, which was a hassle since they don't technically support the consonance line of Fischer audio, but these tips were great as expected. They really allowed me to hear the richness they IEMs had. If you are on a budget and are looking for balanced IEMs with great ... full review

"Incredible quality and durability" - By Chucky

I've bought the model FA-003 (no "Ti") about 3 years ago from the manufacturer in St.Petersburg, Russia, for about $150. Since then, I've been using them every day till now, and they are on my head at the moment. No deterioration at all in 3 years, neither in sound nor in material. Durable as hell. The sound is very precise and perfectly balanced. Bass, mid- and hi- frequencies are in perfect equilibrium, nothing is neither boosted nor muffled, every detail is clearly distinguishable. It gives the sound as it is, without "improving" or "colorizing" (which actually mean smearing and bias). Good for all genres of music.
Besides, they are noise isolated. In fact, it's a combination of hi-end headphones and earmuffs. A good cure against noisy neighbours.
This headphone set is also supplied with an extra pair of replaceable ear cushions, a very nice bonus.

"Fantastic headphones, especially for the price" - By Karl W. Sutton

When I buy something I put A LOT of effort into researching and choosing the best product. When I decided to purchase a high-quality, sub-$300 pair of closed-ear headphones, I knew who the big names were. Shure, Sennheiser, Beyer, these were the first brands I looked into but none of the reviews grabbed me. I was about to purchase a pair of +$300 Shures when I stumbled upon these Brainwavz HM5s. They didn't have very many reviews, but what reviews they did have were all glowing. I decided to take the plunge and hoped they lived up to the praise.

They do.

Sound: These sound absolutely fantastic. A huge concern for me was sound neutrality; I didn't want booming bass or overly-strong trebles. I wanted everything to sound as the producers intended. These headphones have fantastic neutrality. I have no other high-fidelity headphones to compare them to, but ... full review

"Balanced, great clean sound, comfortable and great cable" - By L. Miller (NYC, USA)

This is my 4th pair of Brainwavz Headphones. It like Apple, you keep wanting to buy the next ones that come out. I am a fan of this company. I have a pair of Pro Alpha's, M2s M3s and now the B2s. These get better and better. I own a pair of Bang and Olufsen A8's and I prefer the B2s. The Highs are crisp and clean and the lows are full and distortion free. If you want bass then you still need to go for the M2's as those pound the low end home. For the music I listen to, Rock, Jazz, Classical, some hip hop, trance, techno and triphop, these are a great all around earphone. The new cabling in is a major upgrade. Its soft and supple, when it rubs against clothing it doesn't make the rubbing noise the older ... full review

"quality headphones" - By SteveSatch

These are very fun headphones. The fit was a little tight on my head at first but they have opened up some. The cups sit on my ear rather than over them. I wish the cups were a little bigger. I am using them with my iPod, Fiio E11, and a Fiio L9 LOD. They sound really great. They are easy to drive. They have great bass. Thumping, but not over powering. The mids and highs aren't as prominent as the bass. If your number one priority is mids or highs, these might not be for you. If you want to enjoy fun bass (not sloppy) with mids and highs that are still right where they should be these are worth a shot. I wish I had bought two pair at the sale price. The construction seems ... full review

"These things are wonderful!" - By Mark E Brauer

I would not have said that a month ago when I first started writing this review but since then the RE-400 has changed drastically - all for the better.

I was looking to purchase in-ear phones up to $100 as a summer alternative to my exquisite-sounding Sennheiser HD650. When it's hot, the full-size over-ear Sennheisers are uncomfortable and with the windows open their open-back design offers no isolation from outside noise.

Initially I liked the RE-400 a lot and had been going to give them a 4 star review. After one month of almost daily use they were entirely satisfactory and fully met my expectations for a $100 IEM - in other words, significantly better than my cheaper IEMs in every respect. In most ways they were also better performers than my similarly priced Sennheiser HD555 ($90) and Audio Technica ATH-A700 ($110).

I did not really ... full review

"Good value for under $100" - By Headphone junkie (USA)

The MEE A151 is a balanced armature based phone, and as such, it is more of a mid and treble IEM than a bass head's dream. But it delivers a nice, crisp clean sound. As with all of these in-ear phones, you must get a proper seal to hear the true sound signature. If you can with the assortment of tips, as I did, you will be treated to a smooth, non-fatiguing sound signature, one that provides lots of detail and plenty of balance across the frequency spectrum. Also, very comfortable for long haul listening.
