I also bought this for my OTR driver and he loves it.... but the only complaint was food does stick to it but he puts water in it plugs it back in to heat up and food comes right off. So this product does take a little bit more work to clean up afterward. Now he can have eggs, rice, hot sandwiches instead of cold ones. He said it is well worth the money. Next time you see a truck driver .... Thank him! :)

"Cooks well; smaller than advertised" - By jengirl
I already have a 1 quart AC crock pot which I can plug into an outlet in my Toyota Sienna, but I wanted something a little bigger.
The first thing I noticed was the tapered pot. The exterior is a perfect cylinder; why did they taper the pot? I decided to check how much more this 1.5 quart pot held compared to my 1 quart pot. The difference was very negligible - about 1 cup of liquid. The pot actually holds about 1.25 quarts.
Other than the small size, I'm happy with the pot.

"good ham steak, but miss my family" - By Jason Mulgrew (New York, NY)
The family and I were taking a road trip through New Mexico when I got that sudden and familiar urge: I need ham. I had my wife Laura grab a nice, thick ham steak from the cooler at her feet. She offered to grill it for me, as I was driving at all, but in my family there's only one person that handles the grill, and that is me. My daughter Layla and my son Cody said they wanted hot dogs, so I threw them on the grill too.
Despite having different meat products, the Koolatron was cooking the ham and hot dogs evenly, and there was so much space I could have put another dog on there. I took my ham steak off first and it was really good: the Koolatron allowed the meat to retain much of its moisture and succulence.

"Koolatron Compact Kooler P 20" - By L. Gilbertson (Appleton, WI USA)
I ordered, as a package, both the P20 Cooler, along with the Koolatron Muti-Purpose Adapter 110VAC to 12VDC, March 10, 1907 I checked to see both item were in stock, both were.
The Cooler arrived promptly on March 16, 2007. However, the 110VAC Adapter was back-ordered. With the Adapter on back-order, there was no way to check the Cooler's function. There was no way to pre-cool the unit, since the recommended time was about 12 hours, and it is not to be powered by vehicle battery for longer than 4 hours without the engine running. Furthermore there was no way to keep the contents cool at night while in the motel room, unless one wanted to let the engine run all night. So for the first 2 months the Cooler was useless!
The Adapter finally arrived on May 10, 2007, a full two months after the original order ... full review
"Almost Perfect (And I Am A Nit-Picker)" - By Davide
Well, you can't have everything. I really reviewed the reviews of this product here on Amazon before I decided to purchase this fan. Yes I read all about the complaints about the "chintzy" feet, and the apparent "cheapness" of the construction. I had to balance these negatives against what other reviewers on other websites chortled about "The fan was w-a-y out of warranty when the fan motor quit and you know what, they sent me a new one at no charge". Others chimed in with similar claims of exceptional customer service.
Then there was the noise issue. Everyone seems to think this fan is exceptionally quiet for the amount of air that it moves. The fan is impressively quiet but not silent on even the lowest setting and I expected that.
Many automotive type fans are horribly noisey; they eat battery power like a wolf eats rabbits, and ... full review
"Performs as expected but current draw inaccurate" - By Deb C (NY USA)
It does a good job keeping cold things cold. Slow to cool warm things, as expected. Koolatron's 3 amp rating is inaccurate for my P-27, which overloaded a 4 amp regulated power supply but is happy on a 5.5 amp regulated supply.
I just recently purchased this for my OTR driver ..... He called me up the first time using this product and shouted how much he loved it! He can now have HOT food soups, rice, mostly anything that I would cook on the stove at home. I am very excited to know he CAN have HOT food while being on the road......
This coffee maker will make you feel you are home. I use it with a two burner propane stove and after finding the spot where the carafe should sit (the handle must align with two dots market in the surface) is like brewing with a regular coffee maker. Furthermore I did buy it on sale 50% off regular price, at $22.00, I couldn't get a percolator that good. This coffee maker will be perfect for a family camping, not so for backwood camping when you don't need bulky stuff, and won't have to worry of breaking the carafe.
"Great dehydrator -- if you need one" - By Barbara B. (Oregon, USA)
If you really need a dehydrator, this is a good one (although I've never used any others, so I can't really compare them).
I have made dried fruit and veggie 'chips', fruit leathers, turkey jerky and even tofu jerky. Everything has come out fine although some items took 12 hours to dry completely (which apparently is the norm).
The unit does generate a small amount of heat in the immediate vicinity, and I wonder how much energy it uses (probably not much, but if you use it a lot, for hours at a time, it may add up).
HOWEVER, after a few weeks I had to really ask myself if I NEEDED a dehydrator. Except for the jerky, it's proably easier to buy dried fruit than to dry it myself, and the price differential isn't that great. My favorites are dried apples and bananas and neither come ... full review
