"A Product that works well and costs little" - By Braden Piper
I am a college student, and I bought these hair clippers so I wouldn't have to mess with finding a barber who I can trust to cut my own hair. I had no experience whatsoever with cutting hair, and I've found that it is really easy with these clippers. They come with a number of different attachments that makes the very easy to use without worrying about completely ruining my hair. They also have instructions which aid in learning how to cut, and a nice plastic cape so you don't get hair all over yourself.
Everything works properly, and it works well. Best of all, it is cheaper than most comperable products out there.
Years ago, I wanted a Panasonic and instead received a Remington as a gift. Hated but used it for years until finally I dropped it and broke the battery cover.
I was shocked to see the bad and mixed reviews on the other Panasonic trimmers. So, I went on Panasonic's site and looked at all the models. This one looks like a response to all of the negative reviews. I took a chance because there were no reviews about it on Amazon. Well, turns out it works GREAT. Very quiet and trims great. I was worried that it would be too large (as the photo appears), but it is actually small (the right size).
"Minor gripes, but better than Norelco Men's Groomer and ER224S" - By Dean! (Dallas, TX)
I've owned the Panasonic ER224S as well as the Norelco BodyGroom, both of which are broken in some way.
The Panasonic ER224S was finicky to adjust and the 'plastic guard' (of which there is only one) broke at the corner and would not stay on. Tried taping it and supergluing it and got a few more uses and then threw it away.
The Norelco bodygroom broke in the On position. Meaning, one night I jumped out of my bed with a racket in the bathroom, thought it was a rattlesnake! Turns out the bodygroom shaver turned on for no reason and would not turn off. Read some reviews on Amazon and I wasn't the first person that happened to. Also, changing the 'plastic guards' always felt like I was going to crack one of them and or the shaver foil would pop-off.
"Not as bad as critics make it out to be" - By samman45
I bought this item to trim my mustache and beard. Contrary to what I have read, the batteries last a long time it does trim the way I like it and it is a very good product. I don't know why people have to be so critical about products. Perhaps they received a lemon or they complain about everything. I recommend this product.
Update, I have had this product for about 5 months now, perhaps a bit longer. I am using the same batteries I put in it when I bought it and it works just fine. So much for the batteries don't last long. Perhaps those complaining shouldn't use it to cut their grass!!!
This is a very good electric razor/trimmer. I was hoping to use it to maintain a stubble look. Unfortunately, the stubble guide keeps my stubble a bit too long for my taste. And just using the razor keeps the stubble a bit too short. If you're looking for a razor that will maintain a "2-day look," this is not it.
Ok, I was a little nervous at first, since I've never cut my own hair. But, I've always said I've watched them cut my hair enough times I know I could do it if I could take my head off. Since that is not the best idea in the world. The Wahl cutter is the next best thing. READ the instructions. Most males do not. I am male. Therefore I did not. Almost disaster, but not quite. Remember to come from the back of the head and move forward. My hair is split down the middle and if cut too short will tend to spike. At first after I did the back I moved to the front and went at it with a forward motion, wrong! It cut too close. Thought I was going to end up with a reverse mohawk. Not in my plans. So, read the manual a ... full review
"Great beard, mustache, nose, ear trimmer. Not hair." - By R. Ewers (Detroit, MI)
I read a lot of the reviews and that helped me make my decision. I've had this trimmer a couple of months now, and really love it. I'll start with the points I did NOT find easily in other reviews
Yes, it does a great job trimming the edges of your mustache above the lip, etc. I've had all-in-one beard groomers where the trimming attachment did not cut well. Not so with this one. The first time I used it I was instantly showing a lot more lip than I had planned on. In other words, it trims mustaches better than anything I have used before.
The other point I was unclear about in other reviews was the usefulness of the nose/ear trimmer attachment. I have owned 2 or 3 of those battery powered rotating types before, and always found them so-so. This trimmer attachment does a much ... full review
"Has become my everyday shaver" - By Rawim (Palmdale, CA USA)
At first I was a little reluctant to like this shaver but after using it for a few weeks I really have come to like.
As you can see in the pictures and read in the product description details on one end it includes an adjustable trimmer with five different settings to trim beards, mustaches, sideburns, etc.. The blade guard is also removable for up close detail work. On the other end you get a shaving head that pivots. I have used it for various areas of body hair and have been very happy with the results. I even used it for a quick facial shave (It was an emergency) and the results weren't too bad.
Each end has its own on/off button so there isn't any confusion. The shaver is cordless and fits slides into a nice charging stand. The shaver ... full review
I have owned two older models of a Norelco trimmer (model G370). Neither one had as powerful a motor as the Multigroom. It also seems as if the Multigroom holds on to its charge longer too ... even taking into account the fact the my existing G370 is about 2 to 3 years old. I can still remember how long one charge would last and the Multigroom is far superior.
I can keep my beard even and neat which should be a given for any serviceable trimmer. The Multigroom's nose hair trimmer is great. Must have something to do with the motor spinning faster because it seems to work faster and more efficiently.
There ARE a few criticisms -
The G370 came with a comb - the Multigroom does not
The G370 has a nice stand for each attachment as well ... full review
