I recently bought the globe theater and the Shakespeare jewelry boxes for my girlfriend for Christmas, I was excited to find these items for her cause not only was she a theater major in college she also collects jewelry boxes. And on top of all that she recently returned from a three month European vacation in which she actually got to visit the globe theater. They were literally the perfect gift idea. The shipping was predicted and on time. The price was just right and though they are a bit fragile they came in one piece. My only complaint was that inside the globe theater box there was supposed to be very small ceramic tragedy and comedy masks but instead was a bust of Shakespeare. Which I also got in the Shakespeare jewelry box.
I thought this would be an interesting set of cards, and it's exactly what it says on the package. The art is great, and the quotes are witty! Even my friends who are not fans of Shakespeare (or the written word in general) were fairly amused with them.
"Shakespearean Love Mug Makes College Student's Day" - By P. A. Muccigrosso (Philadelphia, PA USA)
My grandson is studying writing at a major university and this mug was one of his stocking stuffers. He had just finished his first class on Shakespeare and he literally took the time to read every quote on the mug! Then, for 2 days, he drank every cup of coffee and tea that he had at our house. And he took it back to college with him. It was a hit! And I liked it too. Nice weight, well-crafted and clearly printed, this mug might just last long enough to graduate with my grandson!
Really cute little guy to have in the classroom! I have him sitting on top of my Complete Works of Shakespeare. With the Shakespeare posters behind him, and the Shakespeare Action Figure pinned to the wall above him, it creates a fun, whimsical atmosphere in the classroom as we study "The Bard."
"To Buy or Not To Buy..." - By Arcturus70 (In the Orion Spur of the Milky Way Galaxy)
This is such a fun product (gift) for fans of Shakespeare, English teachers, drama teachers, poets, actors, and writers! It's both a puppet and a magnetic. I absolutely love mine! It, along with several other of these type puppets, are among my favorite classroom props for history, literature, and humanities courses. This little fellow is a conversation starter to be sure, capturing student interest immediately.
