My two ECS eat salmon dog food and it's hard to find a salmon treat and one that is affordable when you do find them. These are PERFECT for agility, obedience, conformation-- you name it. They do smell strong of Salmon (which, my boys love) and like the other reviewer, they will dry out pretty quickly if not kept sealed. That being said, my boys will not hesitate to eat them if they do get dried out from leaving them in the bait bag. At the 4-for-3 promotion price, you can't go wrong!
Our basset hound is way past particular when it comes to dog treats. At one point, I was boiling marrow bones since she would only eat those. Needless to say, I was skeptical when I tried Jerky Treats, but she loved them. Now I have to hide them and keep them out of reach. Since she IS a hound, she finds the hiding places and sits there until she gets a treat. Great product.
We switched over to these after seeking out some natural treats. We were growing tired of the poor quality of ingredients in mainstream products. Our dogs took to these treats immediately. We started with Turkey and Taterz and have also given them the Chicken and Cherries. The mini bakes are bite sized, so they are great for training. If you have a smaller dog, the treats have a mild indentation so they can be split in half.
My two medium size dogs love these treats and the thickness is great for their teeth. lt is also very UNTRUE for any review to state this product in not made in the USA. It absolutley states that very clearly on the packaging and I have also verified this with the manufacturer. No made in China here.
We've been looking for a vegetarian rawhide for our dogs and this is the best yet. Sure it doesn't last hours, but it gives them a good 10-15 minutes of hardcore chewing. My dogs love them and get excited at just the site of the bag. I just wish some local stores carried these so I didn't have to order them all the time.
"Better than dessicated liver or pepperoni!" - By Judith Bellville (Galt, CA USA)
These are not the tough, durable jerky that I was expecting, but small, soft, chewy squares. They break up easily into tiny BB sized balls (maybe 12 per square) and my puppies will do ANYTHING for them! Best dang training aide on the market!
Only 17 left in stock (more on the way). Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.
"My little girl sheltie loves a piece of lung for breakfast" - By Mrs. Kilo Delta (Northwest, United States)
I give my 30 lb sheltie about half a piece of lung every morning for her (first) breakfast. Breaking them up is kinda weird, the lungs tend to turn to powdery bits when I try to break them, so I guess I'll just have to give her a whole piece of lung from now on, huh? ^_^
The smell of these is similar to dried green tripe, quite stinky, but disappears once she's eaten it. She *LOVES* the smell of the lungs, though I don't, so I hurry up and give it to her and seal up my ziploc again before I smell it too much. With a light and airy crunch to these beef lungs (the sound of her eating these reminds me of munching on popcorn), they aren't a replacement for rawhide, bones, or other similar long-lasting chews. It only takes my dog ... full review
I try to stick to all natural products in my household. That goes double for my dog. she is a super mutt with a strong stomach, but that doesn't mean I want to take any chances. these seem like quality treats and she really enjoys them. I have purchased several flavors and she loves them all. will definitely buy them again.
"Thank God for Zuke's Dad!" - By Comte de Grez (Diamond Springs, CA USA)
Knowing his mother's agony, my son let his dog remain at home when he moved out, and, already spoiled, Raider became the center of our world. We would do anything for him and he returned our love tenfold. At the age of 12, our little pupcake began *screaming* whenever attempting to rise from sleep. Throughout that year his pain grew far greater...my husband and I were *forced* to have "that talk". How much pain was too much pain? Were we just letting him live because we couldn't bear to let him go?
On a trip to Utah, our friends saw the anguish overwhelming us. They recommended we try Zuke's. HOURS later, Raider was *running* for the first time in years! He is now a happy 17-year-old, and ONLY ran into trouble the ONE time his Mommy was late in refilling the Zuke's. I kid you ... full review
