I really like the product, and it feels very high quality. I ordered on a Friday, and received it the following Monday (SUPER FAST). The cable that it comes with is nice, but it would be so much cooler if the cable was built in (hence the reason for a missing star). The green color makes it less likely to get lost in my house, and I plan on using it while camping, which goes with the "green" theme.
I received my charger in record time! I purchased two other similar chargers at the same time for my daughters because they insisted on one of the fashion colors. They claim to have the same strength as my Anker, but don't offer nearly the charging capacity! Theirs will only charge their phones to about 75% while my Anker charges to 100% and still has enough juice to bring it up to about 40% again. I will say that it charges faster if you don't let your phone get below 10%. The device comes with a convenient carry pouch and a multi cord to work with almost any phone so you don't have to carry an additional cord. It does not have the iPhone 5 attachment. The charger is about the size of a fat highlighter marker so it fits conveniently in your pocket or purse. This charger has saved me ... full review
"LiBa Just Raised the Bar on External Battery Packs in both Form & Function" - By DasShopaholic (Permanently jacked into the web)
We all know that there's plenty of players in the power pack market. It's overwhelming. I just recently purchased this LiBa battery pack, and despite not having used it yet, I'm already impressed with all the bells and whistles that makes this power pack stand head and shoulders above the competition.
You can tell that deliberate thought went into the design for this unit. For starters, the power pack is one of the smallest 10,000+ mah battery packs I've seen to-date-- definitely smaller vs. Unu's and New Trent's packs by a long shot. Next, there are 3 ways for power to come out: via 2 USB ports (a 2.1A and a 1A port), and a built-in attached micro-USB cable. Plus, the built-in cable tucks neatly into the seam of the unit, while the USB plug can go flush into a carved-out space for itself. ... full review
"Capacious, Elegant and Portable External Battery" - By Dr. Bojan Tunguz (Indiana, USA)
The bottom line on the GreatShield battery is this: it works. In the past I've tried several different reserve power supplies for my gadgets, and I have had mixed results. However, there is no ambiguity about this battery: it's large, effective, versatile and well designed. It's one of the largest external battery that I've come across in terms of capacity (with impressive 10,400 mAh of charge), and yet it's much smaller in size than some of its larger near-competitors.
In order to test this battery charger I decided to completely drain my small electronic devices so that I get as clean of an idea of this battery's efficiency as I can. (As an aside, when you really want to discharge them, the consumer electronics has become really robust in recent year. It took me much longer than I thought it would. I had to blast music from my iPhone ... full review
While it charges my iPhone more than three times as others have noted, I was curious to see what it would do with my iPad 3 which has more than 8x the battery capacity (11,560 mAh) as the iPhone. No charger can achieve 100% and 60% to 80% is typical. On a full charge, it took my iPad 3 from 47% to 81% before shutting off. This equates to 68% of the advertised 4,600 mAh which is not bad. I'm happy with all other aspects of performance and consider it a high quality product that I would recommend.
I never used it to charge my phone from 35% yet. I have been using it at work around lunch time when the battery level drops to 84%. I am using this portable charger with my Samsung Epic 4G Touch (Samsung Galaxy S II). I call it "The Mighty Mouse Charger" because it is small, very portable but it is powerful at 5600mAH. The price is nice. I showed it to people they thought it cost more than the $49 I paid for it.
This portable charger charges at the same rate as the AC charger that comes with the phone. I can take this charger everywhere I go, it can be placed in a pants pocket with a lot of room to spare. The Samsung Epic 4G Touch has a battery life of 12 to 13 for medium use. I am a heavy user, I use the internet, ... full review
"Believe the reviews but..." - By Wilis M. (Illinois, USA)
In my opinion believe all the positive reviews, BUT be aware that it does not come with the AC adapter charger when ordered through Amazon. If you go to the IMAXPOWER website, the same item is availble for only $45.95 with free shipping and no tax (at least for my state). Plus, it includes the AC adapter charger!
Seems like a no brainer to order from the IMAXPOWER website when you get more for less, plus you can pay by credit card or PayPal.
"Feels great in hand, packed with power and quality backed by 18 Month Warranty." - By Marcos Agaiby (Seven Hills, OH)
Product exterior - Main Unit - overall the finish has a great feel to it. A very smooth soft plastic that might show some smudges from skin oils if you look really hard but easy to clean off. It has a good weight to it considering it fits in the hand very comfortably. The ends are very glossy and while the end with the usb ports (input and smart) is perfectly clean, the other side with the imprint saying 'Made in China, model number' was a tiny bit scratched up but nothing really noticeable. It does say over here that input is 1A and output is 2A. Ironically the serial number is not listed on this side at all or on the unit. ****The serial number is actually on a the short charging cable. ***Important, for warranty purposes do not remove this sticker..... ... full review
