I have been looking for a battery charger for iPad and iPhone for several months now, but didn't like the products I found. I read a review of the Jackery Giant, and I was first impressed just by the design of the device. I mainly use the charger in my car, or I stick it in my back pocket when I'm taking lots of photos with my iPhone camera. I also like how you can both charge the battery charger and your mobile device at the same time. While the Giant is a little heavy, that's not a huge problem for me since I don't carry around the charger like I do with my Apple devices. So far I only use the charger about once a week, and the device doesn't seem to lose much charge when not being used. It does take about 10 hours to fully charge Giant, ... full review
"must have for anyone who has multiple chargers" - By M. rossrockwell (Bend, OR USA)
This is one of the best products ever. So convenient. I have multiple things that need charging so when I travel I have cords everywhere. With this one item I can charge all my things: gps, computer, Ipad, cell phone, bluebooth ear piece, etc. I also keep my Halo at the office so I can charge my portable Visa machine. Holds a charge forever.
I don't if it was just me,but when I started charging up my old appliances it would fill the items battery up in 5 minutes, this product is way too good to be sold on amazon. This product is amazing and it does everything stated in the description and more!
[[VIDEOID:mo1JOIBC0HWLJV6]]The Jackery Bar 5600mah external battery is well built and has the power to make your smartphone last all day. In the box there is a micro USB cable, direction sheet and the battery pack. The battery pack is more of a shiny dark silver than black. It has 3 LED's on the top that tells you how much power is left. The front where the USB out is has a mirror like surface. ON the front there is also a dual LED flashlight which is very bright. First time picking the battery up I was surprised on how solid it was built and was a bit heavy like most battery packs. The 1 USB on the front of the battery is 5 volts at 2.1 amps. On the front, under the USB out there is the micro USB in for charging the battery. In my tests I have charged ... full review
Its an excellent small battery backup. But be aware, its 2600ma capacity is roughly the same as the battery in the large smart phones, so you will get one full charge if your big smart phone battery is empty. Well made. Perfect battery to be charged by solar
[[VIDEOID:mo2F7K28MGB4PHP]]Most battery packs like this come packaged in thick plastic wrapping and are offered in basic black and white color options. The Moonstone comes wrapped like a gift, ready for unwrapping. Upon opening the cardboard box, inside you'll find the Moonstone battery back nestled in a thick felt carrying case with two pockets. One side holds the battery pack, the other the USB charging cable for recharging the pack.
The battery comes about half charged. Using the included cable, attach the micro USB end to the Moonstone and the regular USB end to your computer to fully charge it. Also, if you have a [[ASIN:B0073FE1F0 USB wall charging adapter]] you can recharge this pack using the adapter with the included cable by plugging it into any wall outlet.
The Apple Green color is just like a Granny Smith apple, a bright green with a yellow/lime undertone. Unlike many ... full review
"This thing is awesome! Flashlight is bright with even spread. 3,000mah cell rating is right." - By S. Lim (TX)
Some people are complaining about the rating being overstated for this backup battery. Keep in mind that there are a couple DC voltage conversions happening when using a product like this. With each conversion, there is inefficiency (maybe ~90% at each conversion). The 3,000 mah rating is for the Li ion cell in the flashlight. Add on top of that the current required to operate the phone and the small amount of LiPo charging inefficiencies. You shouldn't expect more than 1,500 mah into your phone after all is said and done. Expect more if you aren't using it at all.
"iPhone low battery no longer a problem." - By Dave Tyzo (KNOXVILLE, TN, US)
I'm a UPS driver working very long hours and stream music and talk radio from my iPhone to my bluetooth headset to help me make it through these super long Christmas days. The problem was that my iPhone's battery would run very low later in the day. This is no longer a problem thanks to Anker, I just hook my phone up to the Anker battery pack and let it charge my phone back up. Every couple of days I just connect the battery pack to the USB port on my computer, let it charge back up and I'm good to go for 2 or 3 more days. I like this product so much I bought one for my son for Christmas as well!
