"Awesome photos, a couple of reservations" - By Peggy P.A. (Manhattan, KS USA)
I've taken this camera on two trips- one to Arizona, and one to France. I was absolutely bowled over by the quality of the photographs. They are crisp and clear, and the color is beautiful. The zoom is fabulous, and most of the time, I didn't have problems with blurry zoomed photos. Even in low light, I never had to use a flash. In Arizona, I took lots of photos at an outdoor Chihuly exhibit in the Arizona Botanical Garden, both in the afternoon and early evening light. It was fun experimenting with the different scene modes at dusk. Also took lots of night shots in France, and they were also great. Some have complained of battery life, but I found them to last a really long time. I never changed batteries for the whole week in Arizona, and then added ... full review
This camera exceeded all of my expectations. It is small, lightweight and very easy to handle with one hand. The pictures are sharp, extremely clear. It has a built in macro lens for shooting small objects/flowers/insects. Excellent camera.
Just got back from Maui and reviewed all of our pictures and videos. Everything came out great. Camera worked at depths of 10 ft+ while doing Snuba. Got great pics and video of reef fish and sea turtles! Pools, waterfalls, dry land, jungle zip lining through the air, panorama shots, this camera did it all and did it well. Combined with a Transcend 300X 32GB sd card. Only used 4GB on a week long trip.
Make sure you keep the orange seal area clean after opening to remove memory card or charge the battery and you should have no issues with water getting in. I also did not notice any fogging of the lens. Highly recommend this camera and thought it worked as well or better than any of my Canon point and shoots I have had in the past.
Canon SX260 HS: I'm happy to say that I was one of the first people to buy this camera. I bought it from one of the sellers on Amazon Marketplace, before it was officially released (it wasn't even available on amazon.com itself when I bought it).
It's a good camera & quality clear pictures, with a clear & sharp LCD screen.
The camera has the option of changing the aspect ratio for the pictures; you could choose from 16:9, 4:3, 3:2 & 1:1. You could also change the amount of recording pixels from L, M1, M2 & S. In auto mode, it has many predefined scenes. The camera could also be set to various scene modes, including portrait, Smooth skin, smart shutter, High-speed Burst HQ, Handheld night scene, low light, underwater, snow, fireworks, discreet & stitch assist. It does not have the scene modes for Kids & pets, ... full review

"Phenomenal optical zoom in a small package with lots of extras at a great price" - By Joel Avrunin (Baltimore, MD)
The only word I can find for this little pocket camera is fun, and that comes from a person who is used to both his Canon DSLR and his tiny Canon S100 pocket camera. I honestly had never considered a Samsung before, but the combination of features and total value make this an extremely strong contender in the pocket camera world. First, you have to note the sub-$200 price tag which gets this in the hands of many enthusiasts who can't afford $300+ cameras. And yes, the best pocket cameras do indeed come with these price tags.
As with most modern cameras, ignore the megapixels. Most every camera has those. What sets this apart (besides a cool user interface) is the stunningly deep optical zoom in a pocket camera. With an equivalent focal length of 23-483mm, you will get both great wide-angle shots ... full review
After buying a Nikon Cool Pics to replace my broken Kodak EasyShare, I was very disappointed. I could never get a clear picture from the Nikon. So, we checked out Amazon and found this great EasyShare! I really enjoy using this camera. The pictures are generally very crisp and the "smart capture" feature is very helpful. The only disappointment I have is that the batteries and the memory card are in the same compartment. So, every time I remove the memory card, the batteries become loose. However, this camera is very easy to use, and takes great photos and video.
Great camera. I love it. The pictures are incredible and clear resolution at 16MP. I also have a Canon T3i and travel alot. But during travels, the size of the Canon T3i makes it very impractical and heavy. So the ELPH 130 is my travel camera. It goes on my hip and takes great pictures. I especially love the CMOS capability, which makes it a very nice camera for close quarters and limited lighting. I strongly recommend this camera to anyone looking to buy a camera that takes professional quality pictures at a fraction of the cost of a large professional camera.
I didn't want to spend a lot on an underwater camera that may or may not work so well....for the price I thought it was worth trying vs paying for the disposable. Well it worked GREAT! We took it to Jamaica and used it while diving down to about 35 feet. It also takes really good land shots. The only thing is there is no flash but even in somewhat dark conditions the pictures came out very clear. I'm very satisfied with my purchase!
