"Buy this only if you are prepared to hear the sound of a very small electric drill all the time" - By Helen G. Levy
Oh, how my son loves this toy. He insists on bringing the drill with him to preschool, the supermarket, etc. and "fixes" things everywhere he goes. The airplane itself is great and lots of fun to take apart and reassemble. If you have a child who is mechanically inclined, this is an outstanding toy for him/her.
PS. Unlike the other reviewer, we have not had a problem with the drill; it has endured lots of abuse and still works OK.
Grandson loves this toy and it has held up very well to a tough 3 yr old. Did have problem making him understand he could't use it at the lake to catch real fish. Overall, wonderful toy, easy for 3 yr old to use, and he even plays with it in the bathtub.
This toy is very cute, those little soft monster pint stand alone just fine (i think the craftsmanship are pretty well made). Though i wish these pints were a little bigger, when i make the purchase i really thought those pint will measure up to 8.75 inch, however, after i measure them myself, their size only come up to 6.5 inch maximum =-1 star. Even though they are a bit small, but they are still fun to play with, my 3 yr old nephew loves to play with these monster. He even went out shopping with 1 or 2 pints in his backpack, i think my money are well spend on this toy, and i highly recommend them to all young kid's parents. I agree that the ball that comes with the set don't work really well like one of the reviewer had mentioned (we end up picking up a ... full review
I purchased this toy for a 2 year old that loves cars and he played with this thing for hours. It seems to be pretty durable. Many of the parents were amazed at how simple the toy was, but still provided a great learning experience. I have a number of Melissa & Doug items for my own child and they all seem to be pretty well made.
I bought this for my son who is a month shy of 2 and enjoys Bob the Builder and my tools. Even though he is not the recommended age, I thought he might begin investigating it, trying it out if it was around. The more he plays with it, the better he gets at learning to use the tools. He has loads of fun with daddy (or me) while they screw together the plates & hammer in the pegs. My son is thrilled that he has his own tools, so he now leaves mine alone. This is a wooden toy that will swell or shrink with humidity, so there are some days getting the pegs out is just a bit stickier, but in general we have no problem with the set. Because we play with him with this toy, he is supervised, but I can see how a child ... full review

"Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Loops 'n Swoops Amusement Park" - By rxxevans
My son had just started getting into cars and trains when we got the Little Peoples Amusement. It was Love at first sight with him!! This toy again takes some time getting put together, and putting on the stickers. There are 2 ramps, one that swirls down and at the bottom there is a button that when a car hits it, music plays. The other ramp has a release button at the top where you set your car in place, push the button, and your car goes zooming down the track. There is a loop at the bottom of which none of the cars has had trouble making it around the loop and a ramp at the end of the loop that when lifted gives the little people cars a little air at the end of their ride. A platform at the the top allows your child ... full review
really like the fact that you can fold the map into a storage box and it is very sturdy and nice to look at when stored away. The grandkids love playing with it and we bought more dinosaurs. HIghly recommend it.
My almost 2 year old daughter received this for Christmas this year (1 month ago). She loves to play with it as a train - she lets her stuffed animals ride it and even tries to ride it herself. As a puzzle, she has mastered the 'take it apart' aspect, and is learning to put it back together. It is a well designed puzzle that will be challenging for younger toddlers - some of the reasons that you'd choose block X over block Y are subtle - but it is still a serviceable train most ways you can put it together, although it might look odd. It is very durable and safe. My daughter has sat upon it, stood on it, and dropped it on a wooden floor. So far it is still completely intact. Nothing has chipped or come loose. This is another great Melissa and Doug product that ... full review
