"So cute, but super sheer!" - By Kitty Rawk (Bay Area, CA)
These leggings ("tights") are way cute! Bought these to wear to an upcoming comic book convention, and was pleased with how they fit. I'm 5'8" and 135ish lbs and was a bit worried that the medium would be too small, but it fit perfectly. I was also a bit worried about the placement of the tardis since I have longer and thicker thighs, but it actually made my legs look longer, very flattering!
There are two things I didn't like - one, the inseam stitching is white and really stands out. It would've been nicer if it was blue to match the leggings. Secondly, the leggings are very sheer. They are almost on the verge of being tights. I was going to pair these with a cute black tunic that I have, but will now probably have to purchase simple dress to pair these with because you definitely can ... full review
I could not be happier with this pillowcase. The colours are vibrant and beautiful. This and another TARDIS pillowcase I purchased from Amazon were the perfect touch to my completely Whovian bedroom. It matches perfectly with my TARDIS throw blankets and all my other TARDIS things. It was also delivered super fast! I was not expecting it to come until after Christmas since it comes from China and the delivery estimate was sometime in January but it arrived super fast. I am so thrilled and would highly recommend this pillowcase and this seller to all my fellow Whovians.
""There's no point in being grown-up if you can't be childish sometimes....."" - By One Geeky Teen
The title of this review comes from a quote by Tom Baker in his first story as The Fourth Doctor, "Robot". And that quote perfectly sums up this set of 8-inch MEGO-esqe action figures by Bif Bang Pow! in conjunction with EMCEE Toys. These figures are brilliantly detailed in terms of articulation and design. The likenesses of Tom Baker and Kevin Lindsay as Styre are spot on, as is their clothes and accessories. My only gripe is that The Fourth Doctor's famous fedora hat doesn't really fit on his head, unfortunately.
Other than that, these are great figures and if you're a fan of Doctor Who or MEGO-style figures, this is a must.
I ordered this patch for my G/F (huge Dr. Who fan) and she liked it but thought that it was a little too large (it is 4" as described). so I cut the Tardis out of the circle and just left a small yellow outline, and she loves it. as I had to do with my other patches, I super glued this one on because the slightest of pressure made it fall off after ironing it on. BOTTOM LINE: if my G/F somehow lost this patch I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this patch again.
"Great Stuff" - By James Quirk (Pennsylvania United States)
Wow, this movie was fun. I never saw it before and, because I've been on a big Hammer and Amicus kick lately, took a chance on it. I was not disappointed.
Like other Amicus productions, what we get here are several horror stories in one, all centered on "incurably insane" patients in a British asylum. There are some great stars here that make it work oh so well, including Patrick Magee (A Clockwork Orange), Robert Powell (Tommy, Jesus of Nazareth), Herbert Lom (Phantom of the Opera-1962), Peter Cushing (Do I need name all of his great horror films?), Richard Todd (Stage Fright)Barry Morse (Gerard from the 1960s TV series classic The Fugitive), Geoffrey Bayldon (The House That Dripped Blood), the scrumptious Britt Ekland (The Wicker Man-1973), beautiful Charlotte Rampling (The Fury), and lovely Bonnie Parkins (The Mephisto Waltz).
The transfer from Dark Sky Films is fantastic; it looks ... full review
