I was amazed that the GoPro monopole was as great as it looked. I thought "it's $20, it's probably going to be cheaply made and not work the best, but I only need it for two weeks and it's the cheapest monopole I've found so I'll take a risk and hope it doesn't break in two weeks." Wow, this thing is awesome. Quality made to last. Great cork grip, latch, mount, wrist strap, and tubing. Love it! I used this everyday for two weeks straight on a vacation to the Cook Islands. I couldn't believe this thing survived two weeks of ocean water, sand, humidity, being tossed around, you name it I gave this thing hell for two weeks and it still looks like new. Worth every penny. Worked great to scuba dive with as well. I didn't rinse this thing in fresh water a single time at it didn't ... full review
I love the extendable mono-pod for diving, snowboarding, etc but I don't like how it spins easily so that the camera is upside down. The pole itself is very sturdy and doesn't rust so I highly recommend it.
"The long awaited gopro handlebar mount has arrived" - By Pwyll (Portland, OR)
The product works as expected. What you get is the clamp that will fit most handlebars and seatposts and two extensions of different lengths. The only con is that it doesn't come with rubber strips that most bicycle accesories come with to help hold the clamp in place. At first the clamp slipped on the bar no matter how tight I made it, adding a strip of rubber fixed that problem. While riding the camera seems to vibrate a lot but on reviewing the videos the images were as good as one would expect. I took videos while riding both on and off road and was pleased with the results. Audio is horrible when using this product. The vibrations cause a constant buzzing that gets very irritating during playback. But this isn't a big issue as I think most people would dub their videos with either ... full review
I had ordered my GoScope for my HERO3 for an upcoming dive which I had indicated in my order. The product was delivered in two days. When i tested it was missing a washer that locked it in place. I contacted GoScope and they had a new one that worked perfectly in ONE Day! I would highly recommend this product and definitely recommend the GOSCOPE company.
Got this for my sisters go pro...she uses it for selfies...which is waste, this was made for extreme sports and a action packed lifestyle. It can take a beating, makes a pretty awesome light saber too...you gotta make the noises with your mouth though, it doesnt make the buzzing noises on its own...we tried. I warn you not to over do it though, if you make the saber noise too hard you might get spit on your step mom. If you hold your hand over your mouth while you breathe heavy its makes a pretty convincing darth vadar voice...
Every once and a while you can find great quality for cheap, this is one of those times. Aside from the great quality of this particular one, I recommend a monopod highly. I can take great shots with this without the bulk of a tripod and I can actually get more interesting angles with less work because it pivots on one point.
"Top of the line pole for GoPro cameras" - By Brandon
With GoPro filmmakers and photographers on the rise, there are alot of third-party companies rocketing out these GoPro accessories. When I was looking for a pole, I was looking at some popular poles including the GoPole. Looked like a great pole, until I saw the price. I couldn't understand how someone would pay $40 for a pole that doesn't even extend. Then, their extending pole is almost $60! Of course, I kept looking. I came across Sandmarc and their epic quality poles and their price was a low-budget filmmakers dream. If you are a GoPro enthusiast you NEED this pole. $40 bucks for a extending, HIGH quality pole, you can't go wrong! Sandmarc is a fresh company and they worked with me right along the way. No hassle, no drama. Crazy good quality pole. You can ask anyone who got their hands on this thing, easily the best GoPro pole ... full review
"Does what its supposed to do but way overpriced." - By J. Robertson (Tulsa, OK)
For some reason GoPro believes this little jewel is worth it's weight in gold because that's about what they charge for it. And I wouldn't object so much but it even doesn't come with a nut. Adding a nut might raise their total production costs all the way up to what, 15 cents maybe. So at nearly eight bucks, the price is totally absurd. But then again, it's the same will all their accessories. They sell the camera cheap and then stick you for the accessories you need to get the most out of it.
Edit: Since the original review, GoPro has seen the error in their ways and is now including a nut. In response, upped rating to 4 stars. Still shouldn't be more than five bucks though.
As a snowboarder we have tried all the mounts and attachments to get some great footage. This by far gets us the best view of what is going on. I love that you can telescope it out for a great view and then retract it for easy carrying on the lifts. Very durable and easy to use.
