"Fun and entertaining game" - By Jordan

Overall, this game does a lot of things right with the content it provides. There are numerous Olympic Events mixed with a few fun made up games that have the ability to keep your attention and wonder for many hours. Each event has its own individual method of perfection and it will take sometime to master them all in order to get the highest score. My only complaint about the events is that they seem to demand the Wii mote more than the gamepad. When one the main selling points of the Wii U is that gamepad, why have such a mainstream game focus so much on old technology. I wanted to use the gamepad because the potential is so high. Having the ability to use your Mii in the events is also a great function. Dressing your Mii with new customs and equipment to change not only his cosmetic ... full review

"Honest Review From Longtime Fan" - By J. Molina (USA)

I grew up with Sonic and have been a fan since the original Sonic on Sega Genesis and Game Gear. Throughout the years after the Sega Genesis games, Sonic has many ups and downs....more downs then up. So our newest attempt is Sonic Unleashed.

Before I purchased this game I looked at every video and review possible because I was hesitant, seeing as how every other 3D Sonic game faired, I was more frightened then intrigued. I was a fan of the Sonic parts in Sonic Adventures 1 & 2, but hated the other characters in those games. After I purchased the game I can tell you that its definitely a better game.

My favorite things about this game that its a solid platform game. When your Sonic, your going through beautifully designed levels at a fast speed, or some with big challenge that look like a grown ... full review

"It's got something for everyone!" - By Lisa Shea

Sonic the Hedgehog used to be a huge hit for the Sega system. Now that Sega isn't a competitor any more, the GameCube has picked up this star and expanded its gameplay.
First, for normal gameplay, you now get to choose from a good or bad team instead of just one character. Each team is made up of 3 individual characters. You can be the "good guys" - Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Or you can choose to be the "bad guys" - Dr. Eggman, Shadow, and Rouge.
Each team through stages in their own path, and the end result of each path comes together. The stages are fun to play, as the various characters have their own styles of missions and quests.
In addition, there is also a multiplayer fighting mode. You can do an Action Race battle where four sonic-like characters (each with their own strengths and weaknesses) get ... full review

"who says summer games are better" - By LL (NY USA)

I had high hopes for this game and my hopes were exceeded. If you liked Mario and sonic at the Summer Games, trust me, you will like this on ten times more.

-This game has superb graphics that really get you into the winter feel
-It is not as strenuos as the first one which leaves more playing time and less rest time
-The wii motion controls are excellent whether it is skiing or speed skating you feel like you are sonic or mario
-Some of the games aren't even in the winter olymics. You may think this is a bab thing but having a snow ball fight is one of my favorite things to do in this game. use thhe nunchuck to build a snowball nd flick the wii remote to throw it
-excellent replay value unlike the previous mario and ... full review

"Ignore the critics this game is amazing" - By D

Sonic Lost world is a game that is heavily inspired by both the original sonic games on the genesis, the unreleased saturn game Sonic Xtreme, with a *little* mario galaxy mixed in. I believe this game has been rated low only because it is compared to closely to Mario galaxy when in reality while it did borrow a few things from that game it is more like Sonic Xtreme which was sadly never released.

I have heard from some that the Wii U version is better and some say the 3ds version is better however I do not own a Wii U so I can't compare so if you plan to only get one version you may have to do some research. A lot of the critics say this game is slow and sure the did tone it down a little bit from the more recent sonic ... full review

"Lots of Events Makes For a Fun Game" - By Jeff C. (Seattle)

I got this game today, and while I didnt have time to go through everything this game has to offer, I did see enough to write a more positive review than the other review given so far.

This game offers about 20 different events and each of them gives great on screen instructions for how to use the Wii controller to compete at the different events. There is individual and group play. I would guess that group play could get very entertaining and competitive. In addition to that some of the events will def. get your heart rate going(All the races come to mind). Which is unique to the Wii console.

I played many of the events but the ones that I think help compare this game to something else are Ping-Pong and Shooting since both come on Wii Play. These two games are both fun and very ... full review

"Try to keep up with Sonic Riders." - By The Snowman (Indianapolis, IN)

Sonic Riders is a really fast pace game, because Sonic rides on a hover board called Extreme Gear.

The game only takes up 1 block of memory, which is nice. At the main menu the player can go to the game or to extras or options. In Extras the player can chose theater, audio room, gear gallery, and records. In the Options menu the player can chose audio settings, rumble settings, language settings, and game data.
In the game the player can chose normal race, story mode, mission mode, tag mode, survival mode, and shop. Normal Race is where the player can do a free race (1p-4p),Time Attack(1p only), and World Grand Prix(avaliable after story mode is complete). Story Mode is where the player can chose the story he/she wants to play. Mission Mode is where the player clears ... full review

"Great game for ages 12 and up" - By A. Stevens (Lucasville, OH USA)

I bought this game for myself but thought it would be okay for my two children to play, ages 7 & 6. I love the game although there are many steps, controls, and actions, etc to remember. It's really not age appropriate for younger children under 12 because of this reason. Any adult or older child would have fun playing it though. There are many different modes to play it in and the game is very challenging. You use all the buttons and your stylus for the game, sometimes separately and sometimes together. I'd recommend it to anyone who is a Mario or Sonic fan or anyone looking for a game that has a few challenges.
