These are about the size of tennis balls and made of white wool. I like the idea that they're a natural material, unlike those cute little hedgehogs which look more fun but tend to break off bits of plastic. These felt ones don't make anywhere near as much noise as I expected either. Apparently the larger felt balls sound like sneakers banging around in the dryer, but these are not that big and just thump a little. They seem to be sturdy. They do cut down on drying time and of course you can stop buying those expensive dryer sheets. I do use white vinegar in the wash, on the rinse cycle, and that also helps keep clothes, sheets, etc. softer (and fresher) so they're less wrinkled out of the dryer. This is a great product and would make a thoughtful gift. Highly recommended.
Was very surprised to get such a great hair dryer for such a low price. I originally went searching for the one with the Ferrari motor that's about $200. I went from an 1875 watt Conair to this (which is a 2000 watt-since I don't think that info is in the description). The difference is night & day. This dries my hair in half the time as my other. I have a huge problem with frizz & split ends-after using this dryer my hair was smooth, full, sleek & frizz-free after blow drying it.....and it is no louder than my last hair dryer-just more powerful. I never write reviews but felt this hair dryer was worth the time since I am so pleased with it!
I cannot say enough good things about this dryer! It dries incredibly quickly, is the lightest I have ever owned, and is very reasonably priced. I was going to buy the T3 Tourmaline for nearly 10 times the price, until I realized the seller would not honor its warantee on products purchased through Amazon. I have forever retired my previous ceramic dryer, which strained my arm so much, I considered installing a bracket on my body to hold it up. Other small details that make a difference: loop for hanging; buttons well-placed so on/off and cold setting are not hit by accident; comfortable to hold by nozzle instead of handle if desired.
I first reviewed this product in 2006. I don't use it every day, but it's held up for almost four years. I continue to be pleased with it.
"Award winning do not mistaken for other models with same design" - By Paigee Chou
I don't know how the other oster/Sunbeam hair dryer types work. i;'ve heard stories with product defecting, melting plastic etc, as for this one, it's sturdy, strong base, metal plate is used for mounting, in addition, GFCI shock protection outlet plug, and night light included. I don't know how long the night light will work for, however, it's been two months and I have no problems with it. only disadvantage is that the on/off button is on the base of the product, so if ur arm is far from the base, it's inconvenient to turn off. Unlike the other products with on/off switch on the hairdryer itself. I would still purchase this one over anything else due to it's popularity in hotels, raving reviews from others, and personal satisfaction with product. enjoy.
The replacement part fit easily, mounts with two screws. Make sure to unplug the dryer first, one of the leads stays "live". Don't throw the old one away until you get the part, you will have to transfer a overheat sensor (no instructions included). The part number is different from the original, and prices on the internet are all over the map. This was on the low end of the range, and the quality and match is as good as it can be.
"Perfect for International Travel" - By Steve Vrana (Aurora, NE)
My youngest daughter recently spent six weeks in Argentina. Among the items I purchased for her in preparation for the trip were several outlet adapters and this Conair hair dryer.
This is ideal for travel. It is compact (the handle folds), it has two speeds, 1875 watts, and best of all it is dual voltage. What this means is you don't have to purchase an electrical converter--just change the setting from 110v to 220v and you're good to go. [Note: I had to use a coin as a screwdriver to change the setting, so you are not likely to accidentally change it.]
She loved it. Overall, a great little hair dryer for the money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
My husband and son took this DryGuy on a recent snowboarding trip, and both came home raving about it. Great for wet gloves OR for snowboarding boots. That's why I chose this model, in fact. Some dryers can only be used on boots. We wanted something that could dry both.
My only recommendation is that if you need it for more than 4 or 5 people, you probably want to get the DryGuy model that can dry more equipment at the same time to avoid switching them out constantly.
Exactly as described, well-made quality. I use this on my vinyl flooring. Mop with one side (use a spray mix), then "polish" with the flipside. Shortens floor-cleaning time and gets rid of any residue that might be left on the floor. Leaves floors clean and soft/shiny if that makes sense.
