As a grandmother who is not as technologically advanced as the younger generation, I did have concerns about buying a television that had to be programmed and the stand installed before using. However, my fears were unwarranted. As soon as I turned it on, I was stepped through the programming and the stand or base was very simple to install. With the weight only being less than 15 pounds, I was also easily able to manuever it by myself. I was watching programs within an hour although younger people would have managed all of this in fifteen minutes.
My initial reason for wanting a newer television was due to my waning vision so had been looking into the 1080p with a 32" screen for some time. I can't believe how much I can read on that screen now that wasn't clear to me before. ... full review
I upgraded from a 32" Panasonic IPS-panel LCD TV to this model and I'm very pleased with it so far. For this price-range, I have no complaints and think 5 stars is very fair. That being said, there are some nit-picky flaws which I've made note of.
Pros: - Smart features are great. - Has a beautiful picture. - 120 Hz is awesome! - 0.3" bezel makes the TV itself looks great. - Blacks are, indeed, very black (sometimes it looks as if the whole TV shuts off when it goes to a black screen). - Plenty of inputs. - Easy to set up. - Network features are nice. - Great price. - Games, DVDs, and Blu-Rays all look fantastic. - Semi-matte screen is a nice touch (especially if you have a bright room with windows).
Cons: - Viewing angle isn't a perfect 180 degrees. You'll notice some ... full review
I bought this TV specifically for use with my PC and gaming consoles. It will need a bit of calibration right out of the box, but just put it in dynamic mode and it'll look great for gaming. Picture is nice and vibrant, and I didn't notice any ghosting or problems of the sort with Mario Kart 8.
Aesthetically, this is my favorite TV so far. The borders are a lot thinner than other TVs I've seen in this class, and it's very slim in the back. I especially love the stand. It looks nice, feels quite heavy, and is just one whole big piece. You simply slide the metal rods into the TV and you're set. I didn't even feel the need to put in the screws because the connection was already so secure.
If anyone wants to buy a TV on a budget, I would definitely ... full review
"Love this TV. Looks amazing, definity great TV if you dont want all the extra features but good picture." - By Nathan Graveman
I just ordered myself one of these. The info and media for the LB5900 series is pretty slim, I'm guessing because they were only first available on June 8th 2014.
My first question was if there was enough room in front of the TV for a sound bar or in my case an HT-XT1 sound base since the stand is too wide to sit on the base. After some simple math and algebra, using the dimensions listed in the specs I calculated that there is approximately 1.89 inches from the bottom of the stand to bottom of the Bezel, with a bezel of about .975 inches. Which makes it 2.8655 inches of space before anything starts blocking the picture (solvable by a wall mount). So sound bars larger than that might get in the way of the tv.

"Vizio E550i-A0 55 Inch 1080p" - By Larry Li (California, CA USA)
Like many of the recent reviews, I got this on Black Friday for a significant discount. The Quality: Even though this is not a true 120hz, the quality of it is phenomenal! The size: The TV isn't fat nor super slim but right in the middle. The sound: It is above average compared to the my other HDTVs in my opinion but I still use surround sound for it. Here are the steps to hook up your surround sound: 1. Vizio > Audio > TV Speakers: Click Off 2. Vizio > Audio > Digital Audio Out: Click PCM or your choice 3. Vizio > System > CEC > CEC Function > Click Enable 4. Vizio > System > CEC > System Audio Control > Click On 5. Vizio > System > CEC > Device Discovery > Your AV Device (Surround Sound Audio Receiver)
"New Model So Far So Good" - By Kevin Rogers (Massachusetts)
Got the 60 inch UN60F6300 delivered yesterday. So far we are very happy with this tv. Nice picture. Smart features working well. Was easy to set up remote to work Directv box and Samsung sound bar(has the HDMI ARC so bar actually works via HDMI). Would recommend tv. Will update if any problems arise.
Update: 4/24/2013: Streaming works fine on my tv. I streamed a movie off of Amazon Instant video. No lag at all. I have had no problems streaming Pandora or You tube. Everything streams fine. No complaints.
"Good, simple, operational....one minor overcomable hitch." - By M. Bertrand (Sprfld, IL)
I used this bracket to mount my Toshiba 55sv670u...a 121 lbs behemoth. the brackets are pretty easy to install and work really well. I was initially worried that I was going to have trouble finding three studs to mount to in the 34 or so inches the wall bracket provides, but I was able to mount quite securely.
The one and only thing that I ran into was that I sheared the heads off of the bolts when ratcheting them on. The lag bolts are crap. I went to the hardware store and spent $9 on higher quality bolts and was very happy with it afterward. I can't say this surprised me, that low grade bolt is pretty common among all these kits. My friend spent twice as much on his and had the same problem.
Once installed I tested it by hanging myself from it for 45 ... full review
I truly love this tv. Picture quality is stunning. Colors are vivid, blacks are very good, contrast is off the charts. I'm using this tv in my bedroom and it has transformed my movie watching experience in the bedroom. Movies are much more enveloping now. Motion in fast action scenes is very smooth with no blurring or artifacts. Screen is fairly large but does not dominate my bedroom. Looks very nice and blends in with the rest of my electronics.
I also found the sound on this Tv to be fantastic for this generation of TV's. Now this is coming from a hardcore videophile/audiophile with a lot of money invested in both my living room setup and my bedroom setup. As for the smart features, I don't use them and could care less about them. Anyone with basic knowledge with computers should know these "all in one" units are ... full review
I am using this mount for a 27" LCD in my bedroom. Using a swivel mount with tilt works great for almost any room layout. The black powder-coat paint matches the TV, and looks great. Adjustment and locking is easy with the included hex wrench. I would rate this "5 stars" if the mounting screws were better. Made from relatively soft steel, the screw head strips very easily. After ruining one screw, I replaced it with a large black deck screw. It might be advisable to drill small pilot holes before attempting to drive the screws.
Word of caution: If you do not drive the proper mounting screws into the center of a wall stud, if you exceed the specified TV weight limit, or if you try to get by with a really cheap swing arm mount, you may be signing a death sentence for your $500 TV (and ... full review
