I was excited to find this bundle for $419.99 with all the extras it really was an awesome deal. However the only take away from a 5 star rating was the fact that they sent a regular sd card instead of a micro sd that the go pro actually takes. Otherwise Great Bundle Choice!
I would URGE you to read WILFREDO M VIRAY'S ("Wally") EXCELLENT, THOROUGH and THOUGHTFUL review. There's not much more I can say.
However, a few friends have asked "why would anyone use a two-way radio when cell phones do the 'same' thing?" I live direcly under a bluff in the midwest. Cross country ski, walking and bike trails, and one of our country clubs are there as well. Cell phones don't work very well in these areas.
This can also be true when you're traveling. A two-way radio can put you in touch with a LOT of sources you cannot reach with a cell phone... truckers, for example. Forget the stereotype - these guys can be lifesavers on the open road. Two way radios are free of roaming charges, and they'll work ANYWHERE - NO cell phone network can make that ... full review
Here's why I gave this product a 5 stars. Have fun with them, I like them, they are small, great for kids. For the price well worth it. All I need them is for close range when I'm with my two little kids. (3rs, and 5yrs and mom). They have fun with them period. I use them when I go shopping, at mall, supermarket, on my vacation in the Bahamas, they work great. ONE MAJOR disagreement with all two-way radio manufacture is what they advertise. You will NOT get a long distance range on any product sold similar to what they advertise. So for those who complain that these units don't have the range. That's cause you don't know the FCC regulations on two way radios. Hence why you will never accomplish over two mile is any with this type of radios. ... full review
The case has a minor flaw with the holes for the speaker and the camera. the company got back to me very quickly and made it right. The case is nice with that small exception, which could have been a factory flaw. the cover looks exactly like the picture. Bottom line, a solution was agreed upon.
"Purchased for a conference" - By Sly-Dawgg (NC, United States)
Had a conference and needed to communicate quickly with others. Purchased 2 sets of these, and they worked great together with excellent range. Some other vendors had a similar idea but their units were not making the range of the conference area, so they ended up having to use cellphones every few minutes and had dead cellphones at the end of each day.
"Excellent Deadening Material for the money" - By jbsnet (TX)
I've worked with allot of different sound deadening materials and this is the best for the money. It's thick, easy to apply (with heat), and my doors are dead silent now! Simply an excellent product! It's 100#% Butyl, no asphalt so there is simply ZERO smell to it. sticks well. easy to manipulate. Will certainly buy again.
"Great product- very happy" - By Chuck (Bend, Oregon)
I've never owned a GPS personally, but have had the occasional opportunity to use friends and family's GPS that comes with the cars, most notably the ones in Honda's CRV's... and have wanted one ever since. After picking up the Nuvi 255w, I gotta say, this comes pretty darn close to the experience with the expensive factory-installed units... only smaller. In short, I can't think of much I don't like about it. It picks up the satellites quickly (I've never noticed a lag), routes fast, has good animation (maybe 6-8 frames a second?), and is very, very accurate. The preloaded maps don't include some of the roads that have been built in our town in the last year (which is to be expected), but does include our street, which isn't even available on Google Maps yet. (Go figure) It's light, looks good and comes with everything you need EXCEPT the ... full review
Years ago, nearly everyone had a CB radio in their vehicle and possibly one as a base station at home. Technology has since placed a decline on CB's. Or has it? I bought this radio just as soon as I got home from a vacation in Alabama, this spring when the massive tornado swept the state. Putting it bluntly, if you did not have a CB, you could not communicate with anyone. Cell phones were often without service and land lines were wiped out. WI-Fi was non-existent. We were on our own.
I was stunned to survive the tornado, only to witness travelers stranded at service stations even as far north as Birmingham. There were no Walt-Mart stores open, no grocery stores, no gasoline stations or truck stops open. And, no way on earth to find out if there were ... full review
