"For $850 (what I paid for mine) you get one hell of a great tv. Its LED" - By Shawn Poland (pittsburgh, PA)
I seen quite a few reviews for this television set and I have to say many of them I don't quite understand. For $850 (what I paid for mine) you get one hell of a great tv. Its LED, not Plasma, not LCD. LED is the best you can get, really without forking out thousands for a 3D Ultra HD tv. I am on a budget, I can afford a new television once every 5 years, maybe. I go for the best I can get at the time at a price I can afford. My last television set I bought 4 years ago was an Insignia LCD/LED 42" HD tv. It was fine for the time, it was in my bedroom and hooked to my PS3. Nice upgrade from what I had previously and the tv served me well for years, being ... full review
As a grandmother who is not as technologically advanced as the younger generation, I did have concerns about buying a television that had to be programmed and the stand installed before using. However, my fears were unwarranted. As soon as I turned it on, I was stepped through the programming and the stand or base was very simple to install. With the weight only being less than 15 pounds, I was also easily able to manuever it by myself. I was watching programs within an hour although younger people would have managed all of this in fifteen minutes.
My initial reason for wanting a newer television was due to my waning vision so had been looking into the 1080p with a 32" screen for some time. I can't believe how much I can read on that screen now that wasn't clear to me before. ... full review
I upgraded from a 32" Panasonic IPS-panel LCD TV to this model and I'm very pleased with it so far. For this price-range, I have no complaints and think 5 stars is very fair. That being said, there are some nit-picky flaws which I've made note of.
Pros: - Smart features are great. - Has a beautiful picture. - 120 Hz is awesome! - 0.3" bezel makes the TV itself looks great. - Blacks are, indeed, very black (sometimes it looks as if the whole TV shuts off when it goes to a black screen). - Plenty of inputs. - Easy to set up. - Network features are nice. - Great price. - Games, DVDs, and Blu-Rays all look fantastic. - Semi-matte screen is a nice touch (especially if you have a bright room with windows).
Cons: - Viewing angle isn't a perfect 180 degrees. You'll notice some ... full review
"Top Notch! Ignore the negative reviews." - By Bob (Bellingham, WA)
I can't imagine why anyone would rate this poorly. Those that do, are doing everyone else a disservice. I almost passed this one up because the poor reviews and low price made me apprehensive. This mount is well built, well packaged, attractive, easy to install, and how can you beat the price? I can only imagine that those who rated it poorly don't know what they're doing with tools and/or can't or won't follow instructions. For those that complained of insecure and sagging mounts, they probably know nothing about wall construction and didn't bother reading the instructions. YOU MUST INSTALL TO A WALL STUD OR MASONRY!!! For the other mounting complaints, I can only repeat, these people either failed to read the instructions or with no offense intended, are not mechanically inclined. You only have yourself to blame, not the manufacturer. ... full review
"Sure is purdy, but not paying much for it shows." - By N (Moon, Space)
In a nutshell: Good, sexy, small TV marred by crap refresh rate. Good for movies, not so for actions or games.
What it is: a basic 32-inch TV by Samsung. Backlit LED TV with relatively low resolution (1366x768, I believe?) and low refresh rate. No Smart TV feature, although supposedly you could play some limited formats of videos via USB.
How it is: Nice and clear screen with good color reproduction. Intuitive, if cluttered, remote. All ports are at the back, and component and composite port are one and the same, befitting its budget ambitions. Only two HDMI ports, which may not matter much if just using as some ersatz computer monitor (hey, HTPC!) or a bedroom TV (...Roku?). Also missing due to budget constraints: smart TV functions--you ain't watching that Netflix of yours unless you get ... full review
This is a good TV for a great price. The color and contrast are fantastic. Blacks are very black. The only downside is the back-light appears slightly not uniform on a pure white or pure black screen, and noticeably so on a pure grey screen. All around I am very satisfied with the TV. The 3D is good, the features are good, and it is a pleasing design.

"47" LG most certainly IS 120hz native display....Beautiful picture." - By Chris
Beautiful picture. Looks great. There is a person claimimg this TV does not have a 120hz refresh rate. That's not true at all. What he is reading on the back of the set says "AC 100-240 v~50/60hz".This refers to the power consumption and has nothing to do with the refresh rate. Do a little research before before you write a bad review claiming false advertising, dude. All that aside, this tv is great. I mostly use mine with the Ps4 and and i love it. I would say that if you're looking for a tv for gamimg and blue rays with no frills at a good price then this is it. It looks pretty as well. Its more of a greyish color than it appears in the picture. The only very minor complaint I have is that the screen can pick up a little glare in a bright room. Its ... full review
"Can't beat it for the price! Cheetah APTMM2B" - By A. Thomas (Washington DC)
Just installed a 42" Plasma in our bedroom, and here's my take:
This is actually a surprisingly high-quality, sturdy mount. When I took it out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised.
Be forewarned that the directions that come with this kit are mediocre at best. The pictures are vague, and only after wrangling with this pile of metal did I figure out how this thing is supposed to be assembled and installed. Please note that the mollies included in this kit are for MASONRY, not drywall. Probably obvious to most, but again the anemic instructions may lead you down a path of destruction. I may or may not have been led down said path... :-)
So if you're using this in your home, here's what you need to do: 1. Assemble the rack on the floor/table/bed/whatever, and make sure it is square. 2. Find the wall ... full review
"Amazing Mount, Great Value, Get different Hardware" - By Gustave (Newtown, CT)
This mount is perfect for my 37" Vizio (VO370M).
- Very sturdy and easy to adjust - Fit my TV perfectly without need to rebore holes in the bracked - Took about 45 minutes from opening the box to surfing the channels - Why would anyone pay hundreds for another mount?
Keys to Installing: > Get new hardware - the bolts are too short to get a good grib of a wall stud through drywall and longer bolts make for a more secure connection to the TV > Get help - very easy to install with 2 people, might be tough attaching the TV to the mount on the wall by yourself > Don't over tighten - make sure all bolts and connections are secure, but leave a slight amount of play for final adjustments and leveling. Also, the hinges work best when tightened about 85%, this means ... full review
