Entertainment Software Rating Board

Amazon.com aims to give you the information necessary to make intelligent video game buying decisions. We are proud to participate in the game industry's standardized rating system, developed by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). The ESRB ratings are designed to give consumers information about the content of an interactive video or computer entertainment title and the ages for which the title is appropriate. The ratings are not meant to tell you what to buy or to serve as the only basis for choosing a product.

For more information, please see the ESRB Web site.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) ratings provide concise and objective information about the content in video games and apps so consumers, especially parents, can make informed choices. ESRB ratings have three parts:

Rating Categories - suggest age appropriateness;

Content Descriptors - indicate content that may have triggered a particular rating and/or may be of interest or concern;

Interactive Elements - inform about interactive aspects of a product, including users’ ability to interact, the sharing of users’ location with other users, or the fact that personal information may be shared with third parties.
