Howe Mens PJ BLazer Coat
I wanted to share my experience and wonder if anyone else has had a similar situation.
I ordered a lambskin leather blazer from Amazon affiliate Jaz Gear on 12.15/2012. The money was collected by amazon on that day.
THE ORDER WAS NEVER DELIVERED. After countless calls to Amazon and Jaz gear customer service, the bottom line is they refuse to do anything about it. Amazon tells me it's JazGear's responsibility, even though the payment was made directly to them. Jaz Gear on the other hand, refuses to answer the "customer service" phone, opr respond to my emails even though they say they answer all emails within 12 hours.
Any advice from anyone, except to not buy from unscrupulous on-line sellers.

Hmmm.. looking at the product page you provided a link to - it appears that Amazon does not sell that jacket. It says, "Ships from and sold by METROPARKUSA" - which is a different firm than the JazGear that you mentioned in your post. Did you look at JazGear's customer rating before ordering? See if there were any complaints?

eta: Looked up Jaz Gear and found that they have just four feedback reviews, with a average rating of 2.8. The main complaints are shipping time, and that the clothing items don't look like what was in the picture. Me, I wouldn't have ordered anything from them based on that.

Youre correct, Amazon does not sell this product, JazGear does. They do not appear in the product link selections however, so I used the MetroparkUSA item, since the price is virtually identical. Thanks for your response.

Well, it's not my guarantee.

The question I asked was do you qualify for it? Perhaps you should follow those steps instead of trying to bulldog your own path.

I also highly doubt you spoke to 22 people at Amazon about this.

Follow the process and submit the claim. If you refuse to submit the claim, live with the results.

I disagree with Yellow. I buy from Amazon and also third party sellers all the time with nary a complaint. e.g. I got some magnicent camera lenses, below what eBay has them going for. Other items too. A buyer buying third party goods and products run the same risk from any other internet seller. Buyer beware, etc etc. Check the feedback.

I used to work for Amazon, and I can promise, if you follow the policy on buying from a 3rd party and your item is never delivered, Amazon WILL help you out, but you have to follow the policy. Which means you need to send your emails to the seller from the link Amazon provides from your order, so they have the documentation that you have contacted the seller. You have to wait the required amount of time. And you have to let them know when you have completed all the steps as required by the policy. Also, if you initiate a chargeback with your credit card company, Amazon will no longer be able to help you. But that is your choice, and that is what the customer service reps should tell you if you ask them about that.

I'm not psychic. Expressing a doubt about a claim that appears exaggerated does not imply one believes themselves to be omniscient.

I still doubt you spoke to 22 people at Amazon and I also believe you have never submitted a formal claim via A-Z.

I've always went thru Amazon to contact seller by email...and I've never had a problem... Amazon has always been responsive...immediately. And, sellers have been responsive too thru this method. I've never had to do any more than that. I suppose you are tracking shipping under "Your Orders" to see if the item has even been shipped and when? At least you would know if it's "supposed" to be on it's way and when it's "supposed" to show up (or the window of time)..... I've never called, or had to "call" Amazon, since they respond to your emails very quickly and have, over the years, responded to all mine.

Amazon would not have collected payment unless the seller indicated that they had shipped the item, which means there would have been a shipping notice sent. Was there a tracking number for the package?

If you'd like to throw personal insults at a stranger you've never met who was simply trying to help by pointing out the steps of a process you can read about in the Help pages, you should probably have bothered to read the seller ratings before you placed your order, and you could have avoided having a problem about which to post in the first place. Best of luck.

I had problems with third party sellers twice and Amazon took care of the problem both times. Once I had to dispute Amazon's original refusal to refund my money but after stating my case a second time I promptly received a refund.

Let no good deed go unpunished Heather. It was clear he didn't want to resolve the issue through obvious channels. Just wants to gripe and do nothing. He's a victim. Amazon ripped him off...
