We recently had an Olympus UZ800 stolen and loved the super zoom capabilities but was always disappointed with the low light images. Now I'm torn between the Canon SX40, which reviewers claims lead me to think the low light images are much better than our old Olympus, and moving to an entry level DSLR like the Canon T3. I'm drawn to the T3 because it offers HD video which is an important feature for me. Is the improvement in image quality enough to give up the 35x zoom? Would you recommend an alternative?
The SX40 can take amazing shots. I have one and have taken shots that really p*ss off my friend that swears by his 60D. Also great lunar shots. With that said, I plan on a t3i soon. Will use both.
