Who or what defines "useful life" mentioned in note #1?
Is it as long as the unit is serviceable, while it remains in the possession of the original owner, or is it a period of time defined by Garmin?
This sounds like it was written by a politician, not a reputable company.
Does "Garmin discontinues it" mean until a replacement model comes out or this model is dropped from Garmin's line (which in itself is arbitrary.) What is the approximate "continued" life cycle that can be expected for a typical unit . . . in years?
This no large investment; however, neither is it a trivial investment.
