Read National Review here: http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/335996/newtown-answers-nro-symposium#

She actually thinks the lack of male testosterone and over-abundance of females on the staff at Sandy Hook Elementary should make a difference? Don't buy anything she writes.. read the critiques of her National Review columns

Yes, I agree David! This woman's reasoning skills in her National Review article about Sandy Hook just defies belief. I mean, WOW, she clearly didn't do her research and lacks some basic logic. I too have to question the validity of anything this woman writes.

Because Adam Lanza canvassed the local schools and hand-picked the one with female-only staff. Tons of evidence. And all the male teachers, like the one who died at Columbine, sure made a big difference. But, wait!!, let's arm them with assault weaponry, that's a fool proof plan. Most teachers are liberal arts majors, Republicans have been going after their unions across the country, so let's arm them!!!!!

I weep for the future of this country.

I have news for Sean Ingram and his sexist believers in the mythology of a difference between the genders when it comes to courage. The same message needs to go to this foolishly uneducated buy verbose author. When a bullet strikes the heart of a man or woman, the exact same killing damage is done. The genital plumbing of men or women makes no difference when one is shot in the heart, the brain, the lungs, etc. Both die at the same rate of speed from the identically placed bullet wound. That's called "science", anatomy and physiology to be more precise. Now as to this mythology, promulgated by Sean and this foolish author we are talking about, a very brave and wise woman stood in her classroom, after hiding all her students in closets, dared to tell the shooter that her children were in the gym, (a place she knew was usually absent of children), and she was shot and died instantly, but none of her students died. THAT, dear Sean, is called "bravery"! More bravery than any member of Congress now has, more than George W Bush had when he should have been fighting in Vietnam along with his classmates from prep school. Just stop with this mythology that men and woman are different, other than their internal plumbing, all men and women are the same, some hero's some cowards, some somewhere in between. Figure it out, I know that's a big challenge for someone so mixed up as you have been all your life, but it will help you out to figure that out, for sure, Sean. Have a nice life.

Sean Ingram, so sorry you don't do science, anatomy, physiology, probably not evolution, either. (And I'm certain that the "soft" social sciences of stuff like psychology, sociology, anthropology, etc, never got very close to your brain). Enjoy your sheltered life of mythology. I don't block posts by people who are just so willful to display their ignorance, so carry-on, make yourself look so foolish to the rest of the world, they enjoy a laugh here and there, (when they are NOT lamenting the abominable waste of a human mind). Turn up the volume on Fox News to drown us out, but we are winning the minds of your children and grandchildren through something called "education".

Education is a relative thing that varies but fortunately there are certain universal constants that can be validated by observation and this is one of them. So you go right on with your head in the sand, dial "911" and wait for the cops to arrive along with the rest of the NY Times crowd.

As a lifelong educator, personal counselor, advisor, consultant to major large educational corporations, the one thing I always advise is openness to adverse opinions, openness to controversy, openness to the free flow of ideas. Sorry you have closed your mind to so many sources of information which, of course, need to be independently confirmed or rejected. Education, do you have any idea what that word means, where it comes from? E Duco, (Latin) for "leading out".. leading children and young adults out of ignorance, darkness, bigotry, prejudice, into the land of open discussions among adult minds. That's what "education" is all about, NOT about some agenda you have lashed yourself onto, like onto a ship sinking in a stormy sea. Good luck refusing to have an open mind, to hold tight to your agenda. None of us has the final answers to any challenge in life, but we must be open to all possibilities. Unfortunately, you have closed yourself off from most of the likely sources of information and insight, as you so lable that as ("along with the rest of the NY Times crowd."). Be safe, and have a nice life, and never raise a gun against a fellow human you simply do not understand, male or female. Actually, I'm more worried about you having a gun than being so willfully ignorant and dismissive of all the sources of information out there for you, yes, including the NY Times, (not perfect, but better than sheer bigotry and ignorance, for sure).

I'm sure that you'll appreciate that I'm watching All in the Family and so much of what Archie says is so applicable to what's gone wrong with this country today and for the record I have a safe full of guns but I have never raised them against a fellow law abiding citizen or innocent children. I have raised and used them against the declared enemies of my country(Operation Just Cause/20 Dec 1989, Panama) and against a criminal who tried to rob me which is what the 2nd Amendment was drafted for.

Oh, so you, Sean, are a time-wasting POE!!! Alert to everyone else who posts here: IGNORE Sean, he's trying to impersonate a fictional character who never existed but who was a caricature of real life bigots.

Sean Ingram, waste of time reading, more of a waste of time responding to.

Sean, if you agree with Archie Bunker, a fictional caricature, meant to evoke laughter, not meant for people to identify with, AND IF you have an arsenal of guns at your home, "I have a safe full of guns but I have never raised them against a fellow law abiding citizen or innocent children."........you are one of the most dangerous people in this nation, on this planet. I would advise all the people who live with you to escape your home, leave forever, you, sir, are a very sick man, simply because of all your posts!!!

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 20, 2012 5:58:00 PM PST
Well if I'm dangerous so are 98% of the men of the 75th Ranger Regiment and the majority of the Marines that I've fought and served side by side with. PS: How am I sick? I think I'm very rational and lucid. As a matter of fact an officer who I served under and who is now a 2 star general is way "sicker" than I am. If sheep like u only knew.

Sean, do you sleep with this hideous woman, and you are defending her by asking me my GENDER, and WHY should I care about equal rights and equality of people with simply different plumbing, male and female??? You really are so detached from the 21st century human race, you actually think MEN should NOT CARE about the status of women? What an admission your last post made!!

Posted on Dec 21, 2012 5:56:48 PM PST
Yes I guess that I just come from a different time and society.

The person who took down Nidal Hasan (the Ft. Hood shooter) was Sgt. Kimberly Munly, who was shot twice as a reward for her bravery. She didn't hide behind any men, or any burly 12 year-olds, or a manly janitor with his bullet repelling bucket. Bravery isn't gender based, and Sarah Palin would be ashamed at your disdain for Mama Grizzlies' courage and ferocity in protecting their cubs. The right wing is desperately reaching for any excuse they can find. Like Megan McCardle saying that we should teach people (5 and 6 year olds?) to just gang rush the shooter. Or the several teabag pundits blaming this shooting on gay marriage, or lack of school prayer, or a secret conspiracy by President Obama to create gun tragedies so he can take away our guns. Any excuse they can find to avoid looking at the one factor that is common to every one of these atrocities - guns. The same day as Sandy Hook there was a crazy man in China who attacked a schoolroom and wounded 22 children, with a knife. No one died. Because that guy didn't have access to guns.

Most army posts prohibit people from carrying guns for self defense in a deluded and baseless form of gun control. This policy is left up to the base commander and varies accordingly because if the soldiers who he attacked on that day were armed the situation might have ended differently.

Sean, dear person alive with me at the same day and time on this planet! YEAH, I think ALL humans, male or female are equal........you say "I just come from a different time and society" [sic] What society do you come from?
