Michalel, I have been googling this question ALL week, as I too would like to know. Right now the regular ones are $159 but I want the HD model which is holding at $199

There will be no deal on the HD, it is too new. The best you can hope for is a deal on the original Kindle fires, non-HD. Perhaps some refurb old models. Keep in mind, they will sell out instantly if there is a deal, which I doubt there will be, they will be gone the moment it goes live. Try your best to get one and get on the wait list, but the odds are against you.

Amazon offered a discount on the old ones (non-HD) late last week under the lightning deals. They were selling for $129.99, $30 off the original price.

Staples has two coupons in the paper tonight, for tomarrow only. It is for $25.00 off a Nook or Kindle or 25% off one item only. Hope this helps.

You have to read the staples ad very carefully... I called them the $25.00 off is not on the kindle fires, only the ereaders, the fires are considered a tablet.

Fire is a bad name for a product. When I first saw this thread, I thought Kindles were starting on fire ala early Lithium Ion batteries...
