As well as Modern Family has done, I think that New Normal might have a chance. I think the little girl is a hoot! Other than that, I haven't seen much of the new stuff yet. The one with Matthew Perry may be okay.
I'm looking forward to the one with the nuclear submarine, though I can't see that playing out for more than a season. It looks like more of a miniseries.
the Matthew Perry one is boring to me, I don't think it will make it. The New Normal actually looks good, but I just hate that Nene Leaks from the real housewives. Haven't seen one about a nuclear submarine that sounds good. I am hoping 666 Park Avenue is good and sticks around. I like the guy from Lost, but it seems hard for shows like that to grab an audience any more. I am glad to see it is based on a book, that gives me some more hope. I am hopeful for Revolution, too. But I'm afraid I am going to get frustrated with the whole physics of the plot line. that all the rules of physics and electricity have changed somehow? Being and engineering major, I think I am going to overthink it and give myself a headache :)
The gays on New Normal are way too 'flaming'; Matthew Perry is simply not funny any longer; he needs to retire; Partners will last about 6 shows- same as the others. Revolution has a shot, as do Ben & kate & Mob Doctor. The Mindy project is 1-season, tops. 666 Park Ave looks interesting as does Vegas
How about which FALL TV shows are going to be missed?! ---- How could CBS let CSI-Miami go into the dust, and without a proper series ending! It's unfortunate that for the most part, Sunday night sports delayed the start of the show and thus DVRs didn't pick up the show correctly, and I believe, helped to cause the demise of the show, as people either didn't get to see it on DVR, or live (during it's normal time slot, due to delays).
i think Mob Doctor might be ok... If it is done right... There are an awful lot of shows that seem like they are gonna be great but just arent lately.
Im really looking forward to the return of Hart of Dixie (generally not my kinda thing but the whole family seems to bond over it... ironically enough that out of all things this is the one show that we all agree is worth watching.)
I love Parenthood and since it previewed last night I caught about 20 minutes of New Normal. Personally, I probably won't watch it.
Sons of anarchy is back on a&e... Its shaping up to be a make or break season for this show in my opinion.
The Mindy Project I think will be garbage. I think they decided Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs should have a baby.... This is one of those not so cute babies.
My choice shows sofar ; Hell on wheels Parenthood . Perry looks like he is trying to hard, Mindy project she transfered her character from the office made her a doctor, I think it was time for CSI Miami to go but they should have had a finale after so many years.
I actually like Go On (that Matthew Perry show), not so much for him, but for the supporting characters. It made me laugh out loud a few times, which is more than I can say for most sitcoms.
I wish the New Normal were better than it is. I had high hopes for it, but after seeing two episodes I think it's gone in a month. Ellen Barkin's character is decent, but the show as a whole isn't funny enough to validate its existence amid the controversy it clearly wants to generate.
The pilot for The Mindy Project was just fine. Nothing special, but I think it has a decent shot to fill out New Girl's hour as long as they actually write jokes and don't rely on the whiny "It's hard to be a modern woman" commiseration.
I have to agree VoG watched Go On Tonight and supporting cast is what makes the show Julie White (Transformers)has a very acerbic whit that i thought was funnier than Perry's lines and i am a fan of Jon Cho .
