now i understand that everyone wants the packages before christmas. (who doesnt love watching loved ones open gifts and smiling ear to ear cuz u picked em the perfect gift?) but christmas is not about gifts. its about family friends and being thankful that u have each other. this day is about jesus not u and not me not us. it is a time to celebrate the fact that a man was born wh owoulod some day die for us. (wether u believe in god or not im sorry if this offends you) please remeber those in conneticut that dont ever get to see there smiling children open gifts that we are complaining about. there are more important things to think about than wether ups or fedex suck

"... i know my spelling sucks but i got out what i wanted to say ..."

If you wanted to say you are an illiterate, mindless dweeb, ya, you accomplished that bit.

Actually, it NEVER was really a religious-only time. It always was a celebration. Part of that is being with family and friends, part of it is having fun. Maybe people just need a happy time during the darkest, coldest time of year. And the church sort of usurped that time and tied it to the nativity. And actually, it seems that each part ~enhances~ the other part rather than taking away. If it were purely a religious day, it would pass most people by without much fuss. So it is kind of a good marriage of the religious and the secular. I think it is fine for people to be happy. If they aren't religious, that is okay. If they are, it is okay. Just be glad that there is a time where we can all celebrate together and enjoy the season of the coming sun (or "son.") :D
