Went to buy some gas at the place I usually stop at - cars were lined up 6~7 deep at each pump.. Looked at the sign and apparently their price is $2.94 for regular right now.. Didn't want to wait, so I went down the street and bought some for $3.11 a gallon..

Austin, Texas

Yeah, I walked to the mail box down the street today to mail something, and I was amazed that there are still flowers out and butterflies snacking on them..

You have no clue what you're talking about.

The average cost of gas in June of 2008, the early stages of the heavy summer driving season and during the presidential campaign, was $4.00 per gallon. The 2008 gas crisis hit its peak one month later with prices averaging $4.11 per gallon.

Source: Consumer Reports

By August, the cost fell to $3.74 and continued to fall until the price averaged $2.07 just after Election Day in November, when Mr. Obama was elected president.

Anyway, $3.59 last time I filled up.

In January 2009, the month Obama took office, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the US was $1.85, and Diesel $2.38. Prices have risen steadily since.
