So I just bought a leaf blower from Home Depot and a 100 ft extension cord. I checked on amazon and saw that I can do much better on the price of the cord. My problem is I need it so I can do some lawn work tomorrow (Sunday). Now I thought there was no Sunday delivery but the product page says local express delivery is available and it says "Want it Sunday order in the next xx:xx. So will I get this delivered on a Sunday or do they not deliver on Sunday?
I just got an answer from customer service and they say that it will be delivered on Sunday. Luckily i am a prime subscriber so it only costs 5.99 for local express delivery. Even including in the $6 it is still $20 cheaper than Home Depot
I think you read it wrong. With your Prime membership you will pay $15.99 to get your 100 ft. cord tomorrow. The $5.99 "Special delivery" price is not good on Sundays.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Need it sooner? You have several options if you need to expedite delivery:
Option/Amazon Prime price Upgrade to one-day shipping (for Monday-Saturday deliveries) $3.99 per item. Sunday delivery (order Friday evening or Saturday) $15.99 per item Local Express Delivery (in qualifying cities)$5.99 per item
The real question is - how much do you want to leave to chance? If you really need to get it done this Sunday I'd keep the cord you have. Plus you have to drive back and return it, what is your time worth? I don't know about where you are but gas is near $3 here. I'd be interested to know who delivers Sunday. At Fed-Ex the only time any of us worked Sunday was last year after the big blizzard - trying to get caught up. Let us know how it worked out.
I'd like to know as well. I couldn't find any restrictions on where Amazon will have the product delivered on Sundays. Except for the largest cities I can't imagine how any delivery service could make money on Sundays.
