Is anyone experiencing a delay in the "Add to Cart" button appearing after the countdown timer goes to 00:00? My timer just freezes at zero and it takes between 10 and 45 seconds for the "Add to Cart" button to appear. By then, deal is gone.

Yep, I am facing the same issue. I have reported that to Amazon but they said it's an issue with browser.

This was an issue last year as well.

Thanks......thought it was maybe my firewall or one of my security settings. It didn't do it last year. Same computer.

Last year, I actually missed out on a deal due to this. So I complained to customer service and threatened to take my christmas shopping somewhere else and I got a credit so I could buy the product at the lightning price. So maybe you could go that route if you keep missing out on items you want.

I am having the same problem using my Kindle Fire and missed a deal because of it.

I'm having the same problem with a much longer wait time. On the phone with customer service I timed one at 8 minutes but its been up to 1/2 hour. This is on the iPad using wifi or 4g, no difference. I still have mystery boxes that never showed anything at all until it was removed from the site. This is not a browser issue anymore.
This problem did not happen at all to me last year. I'm bummed since amazon deals this time of year is something I really look forward to. :0(.

Same problem here. Sounds like Amazon really doesn't want to sell their lightening deals but still want the site traffic.

I have had success on my iPad by refreshing the screen just as the counter goes down to zero. Once the screen comes back, the add-to-cart button is there.

@LegoGirl...thank you for the tip. I have tried to refresh right as you mentioned, but when the screen comes back up, it is back to page 1 of the Lightning Deals so I have to scroll/click to get back to the individual item I am trying to click on.

I am using the same computer and browser as the past few years in which I never got the 00:00:00 frozen for about 5-10 seconds (which of course is unacceptable in the click lottery of Lightning Deals).

It's a bummer. Not sure what to do. I tried to refresh just about 30 seconds before deal going live, but that is not helping either.

The last item I tried to get, I clicked as soon as I got the Add to Cart button (about 10 seconds late due to 00 issue) and was put #250 on Wait List. I guess I can be grateful that I did get that item available to me even though initially chances were poor that I would).

Hope I can resolve this before some of the important items (video games) I need to get go live.

I should have said: I am doing the shopping and refreshing from the Black Friday Lightning Deals section, not the Today's Deals Lightning Deals section.

For example, here's where I would go if I wanted the 32"tv today:

Thanks, LegoGirl. I see what you mean. I still have the same results with the delay, but I can at least narrow the pages of deals coming up.

I did a test just now on the laptop that came up and I just started clicking where the "Add to Cart" button should have been on my screen. There was still a delay, and I never saw the button pop up, but it must have been there because I was able to get the laptop in my cart. I just deleted it and hope that someone else is blessed with the laptop.

As for the items I am really wanting, I will try the same thing. If it works, fine. If not, no stress. I can pay a little extra.
