Same here, Lasership claimed they delivered a package yesterday in the morning- I was here & after viewing my security camera I have proof they never stepped foot on my walk nor their truck grace my street. I hope Amazon stops using them, or I will have to stop using Amazon.
Once befoire I had a package that was suppossed to arrive pn a saturday....It did not get here till Monday, and then they claimed I was not home x2. A total lie. I am waiting for this shipment, and then will truly complain to Amazon.
It concerned me that this situation, I placed an order on amazon and see who is responsible for lasership you send it to my country Ecuador, ordering three days ago and I do not see any movement of my package. Please make the necessary arrangements for my order arrives on time.
Here are my thoughts about Lasership. First, the local Lasership "facility" is about .5 miles from my home so I pick my items up there and spare myself attempted and non-deliveries others have complained about. Basically, the local "facility" is a huge empty rented space with a hand written sign on a piece of copy paper taped to the door. The "delivery vehicles" are battered white vans that do not exactly elicit a feeling of reliability, hence, I'm thinking, this may be a "budget" operation that survives on the cheap. My experience vis a vis Amazon is that it has a low cost shipping deal and uses this company for items that are shipped free and delivered to areas where Lasership has a presence. In some ways, I wish Amazon would go to Overstock's $2.95 shipping model on, say, orders under $50 or $100 and, when possible support and use USPS whenever possible. I'm thinking that for a company as large as Amazon, over time, Lasership may be more trouble than it's worth. Incidentally, I purchased a TV on line (not Amazon) and it was delivered by Lasership. It was to have been "set up" as part of the delivery. The driver could have cared less, told me he would be "right back" to set the TV up after taking the cardboard box/packing out to his truck and never came back.

Although other carriers will have the priority to deliver to your address in the future, please keep in mind that:
- It can take up to 3 weeks for this change to process, so between the time of the request and the time of processing, you may still receive deliveries by LASERSHIP.
-Giving priority to other carriers doesn't guarantee that this carrier won't be chosen in the future as some delivery methods are only assigned to LASERSHIP.
-This change is specific for a particular shipping address. If you send items to a different shipping address, the carrier might be chosen to deliver the package. Note: making changes your address on file, like adding a new phone number or updating the name, will result in the priority lowering request being deleted. *****
Lasership stated they delivered the package to my front door (there is a large sign stating no deliveries are accepted at this location and they are directed to the side delivery location) never received it. The front door is exposed to the elements and we have had a continuing rain downpour for that period, so it shows that if they did indeed deliver to the front door the inconsideration for the delivery and customer.
Hi, I purchased 2 items from Amazon, a Galaxy tab & a case last June 19. I track my package and found out that the Tab was already delivered by Lasership last June 20 and the case was delivered by UPS last June 22. I have a shop n ship account and i used it everytime i purchased online. All delivered items will be shipped to me. I was surprised to find out that the case came first. I emailed amazon to verify my order and delay on the delivery of my Tab purchased and I'm so disappointed on their answer. They said i need to contact Lasership since it's their sole responsibility. I am sooo disappointed upon learning their response, they should at least monitor if the customer received the item completely. I emailed Lasership yesterday and didn't got any response from them. Upon this experience, amazon just lost one loyal customer in me.
Lasership is the worst. In a 160 unit building with an average of 25 deliveries a day, Lasership appears to randomly dump all packages. When receiving multiple packages, they don't even group together. At least one Lasership package is lost a month.
I had a similar situation. Lasership stated the item had been delivered when I know it had not because I work nights and I am home during the day. If someone comes to the door my dog goes nuts. I finally received the package a week later but by that time had already received a credit from amazon. I also instructed Amazon that I do not want them to use lasership on my orders. So far so good.
I am another who have problems with Lasership, they miss their delivery dates...they say they have delivered my orders when they have not...they are a complete mess of a company. My 1st order was never delivered and a amazon rep couldn't get in contact with the driver, I was never given a reason as to what happen. I canceled that order and went to a brick an mortar. A month later I ordered something else, and this time a amazon rep informed me lasership LOST my order, how does this happen?!? The rep offered to place the order again, and I asked that my package was not handled by Lasership rather a company I can trust ie Fedex, UPS, USPS. I was told that I couldn't select my shipper so the amazon rep offered, at no cost to me to ship it to me 2 day priority mail which is normally delivered by Fedex and/or UPS. This is really frustrating and when I stumbled across this post I was excited, not by everyone's troubles with Lasership of course, but that I have others whom I can vent to. Amazon really needs to fix this!!!
I'm absolutely furious with Amazon and Lasership right now! Up to this point I've never had a problem with Lasership. I haven't had to deal with them too many times in the past but they were always on time for me.
I placed an order for over $90 worth of things on Friday 8/10. I'm a paying subscriber to Amazon Prime and my guaranteed delivery was yesterday 8/14. The order was shipped with two separate packages. One item I bought which was $32 was sold by one company and fulfilled by Amazon. They used UPS and it got to my house ahead of time (since it came from a very nearby warehouse). That came on Monday 8/13.
The other package with $60+ worth of items was sent using Lasership. That package was in Carlstadt, NJ just after Midnight on Monday 8/13. That is about 15-20 minutes from my house. I expected there was a chance Lasership would deliver it on that Monday since it was so close by. They never said out for delivery so I just figured they'd get it to me on time Tuesday 8/14.
Well, I actually checked later at about 9pm and see that Lasership claims to have delivered the package at 7:20. Huh? I check outside and there is no package. I was home the entire time so it is possible that it was delivered by these people. They say it went out for delivery at about 5:30pm and then delivered at 7:20pm. Who does that anyway?
I checked Amazon's website and they said to wait a couple days. I waited all of yesterday when it was guaranteed by and they still did not come. I contacted Amazon and they contacted Lasership. Lasership said it was an error and that the package would come today.
That is just complete nonsense. An error? No, they're scanning it to meet the guaranteed delivery date but are not living up to it. They're lazy! I checked the tracking a little later and it said "In-transit" again. I check it this morning and they changed it back to "Delivered 8/13".
So, I'm still waiting. 1:40pm over here and still haven't received my package which was 15-20 minutes away in the first place. They should have delivered it already.
I'm fed up with this. I paid for Amazon Prime and this is the crap service I get? The customer service rep on Amazon offered me an extra month of Prime for the inconvenience. The hell with that. Why would I want Prime if this is the crap they're pulling?
This is really not right. I hope they drop Lasership and they should sue them.
EDIT - Finally was delivered. The package was left and the driver took off. What a dishonest company. If I saw the driver at the time I was going to make it clear that it should've been delivered yesterday. He got away in time.
My LaserShip package arrive in one day. Granted the company uses non-uniformed drivers who seem to use their own vehicles, but maybe that's why they can keep their cost low. And no I don't work for them, I am retired. Maybe I should go to work for them.
After thinking that I just was not hearing the doorbell for every single Amazon delivery, I finally caught the Lasership guy "in flagrante" yesterday. I was walking towards my house when the guy walked up from the basement level. I said "may I help you?" He said he'd just left a package down by the trashcans. Why, I asked, did my husband not answer the front door? He stammered, said "are you from this address?" Yes, I said, at which point he scampered down the stairs and grabbed the package. I asked where the notification was that he had left the package down there -- no slip on our front door -- and he said "oh, I won't leave them down there again, I'll ring the bell." Meaning his default was NOT to ring the bell, though he then said "oh yes, we ring and knock."
So basically the guy was lying AND dumping the package in a place we would not find it, without having rung the doorbell or knocked, and without leaving a notification slip. Not to mention that it was threatening rain at the time.
Amazon, this is not "delivery," it's a last-mile fail. I get great, actual deliveries from UPS, USPS and FedEx -- stop using the LaserDump option, it's hurting your brand.
I also just got burned by LaserShip. Package was out for delivery today and "delivered" to FRONT_DOOR. I know that's a lie. The community here has a front office that signs - by name - for packages. LaserShip is clearly dishonest. Part of me wonders if they get packages and turn around and sell them at a profit on the street in the cases where people don't bug them about poor service. I'm glad to see some folks eventually got their orders, but this is still unacceptable. They're clearly trying to forge good delivery times to meet Service Level Agreements, presumably with Amazon and maybe other vendors.
As a good science experiment, one of us should apply for a job with the company to see what it's like. I wonder how seedy they really are.
Maybe we could all get a petition going to encourage Amazon to halt business with LaserShip?
I called LaserShip and talked to someone and they claim the package was delivered so they'll conduct an "internal investigation." Sure they will. I expect nothing from this, but if I can stop other people from using their "service" I can cost them more than they cost me.
Lasership indicated that my package had been delivered and left at the door. It was not. I was at home at the stated delivery time, and no one came home. I called Amazon and they called Lasership who said that they would start an investigation. No word so far.
It's not just we, the customer, getting screwed by LS. I had two packages lost between amazon and LS. Basically amazon listed two tracking ids and two estimated delivery dates. After Xmas, there was still no update from LS. Amazon was kind enough to overnight both items using UPS.
On December 31st I checked the tracking status throughout the day and nothing was updated. I was home all day so I assumed this was another day without the package. The next day, January 1st, I checked the tracking status at 6:00 AM because I know sometimes tracking info is updated late. When I checked it said that the package was delivered at 1:00 PM on December 31st. It said it was signed for by "front door." The problem with this is that I was home the ENTIRE day and the buzzer never rang or my cell phone never rang. Our apartment building only has one door as opposed to having a foyer with a second locked door into the building. I thought maybe someone in the building brought the package inside (we only have 6 apartments in the building). When I went downstairs there was no package inside or outside the building. If someone in the building accepted the package their name would be written down as the receiver. Instead "front door" means the shipping company is either stupid enough to leave a package on the SIDEWALK outside an apartment building or they never delivered the package to begin with. I believe it was the latter. I will request a different shipper next time I order anything from Amazon.
