Don't you ever wonder how people come up with their usernames? I've seen some very interesting ones here and there and sometimes it get me wondering: "How DID they come up with that?"
So I decided to ask.

I guess I'll begin........

I came up with my username [Up 2 Late] late one night while I was at Amazon purchasing music. I accidentally discovered the "Discussions" section and the rest is history.
Now I am Up 2 Late on a regular basis, participating in various threads around Amazon, when I should be in bed SLEEPING!

So, what about you, how did you decide on your username?

I don't remember. Heh. However, if Junkie isn't rejected by some censoring username sub-routine, my handle is always available. :-)

(If you click on my profile and go to my webpage, take a look at some of the Road Trips I have documented, it might explain the moniker...)

doodah man says:
Hi U2L!

No, it's NOT from "Zippity doo-dah, zippity day"---- I'm a fan of the Grateful Dead, so it comes from the lyrics in "Truckin' "

"Truckin', like the doodah man. Once told me "You got to play your hand"
Sometimes your cards ain't worth a dime, if you don't lay 'em down,"

Not necessarily about gambling (although I do like to play the caseeenos), but more a philosophy of life.

Does anyone like to play backgammon? I'm also 'doodah man' on the Yahoo backgammon boards, come and play!

From a medieval Celtic poem that has been a symbol for freedom from tyranny and opression for Irish people everywhere. For me it became more a symbol of oppression, not from governments, but from people close to me in my life who were chaining me down, trying to tame me, and preventing me from being free. After my divorce I vowed to never wear that figurative collar again.
