Every year I tell myself that I am going to buy a few things a month and be completely done by Thanksgiving so I can spend time doing other (more fun) things and avoid the big spending hit all at once....I never do it.
But thanks for the post to remind me of my poor planning that will inevitably come this year, too!
I'm done. Buying and wrapping. Still working on addressing cards.
Actually, it's because I have a holiday decorating business. I'm too busy around the holidays decorating other people's homes to work on my own holiday obligations. Finishing this early is the only way my family and friends receive anything, and I retain my sanity!
Christmas is boring, the food is gross (ham and sweet potatoes are ICK), the music is tedious, the decorations are so tiresome and monotonous.. red, green, and silver balls... tinsel..... on and on and on on... Have to endure the same boring Christmas movies I see every year... Those movies didn't do anything for me the first time I saw them.. let alone 25 views later. God I'm still bored over Christmas from last year.
So sad! Christmas is about giving and getting together with loved ones. Christmas tends to bring out the best in most of us. The wonderful thing about being a adult is that you can serve what you like..... Prime Rib for example. You may decorate as you wish.... Blue and silver is lovely. You do not have to watch those classic Christmas movies if you choose not to. YOU can make Christmas wonderful and exciting!
