I have been seeing several promotions on the 3DS XL (not on Amazon though) the past days. It's on a sale on a major retailer for $159 dollars. Should I wait for the Amazon video game deals day on the 25th? Do you guys think I could find it cheaper after christmas or before? Thanks!

The normal price is $199, so I think that the discounted price is a pretty good bargain. Even if Amazon drops the price, (if they do) I can't see them going much below the $159. May as well get it now. I just picked up one at that price myself after my daughter asked for one 2 days ago. By the way, you will probably want to buy a game since it doesn't come with one, and with the discount, that's going to put you right around the $200 mark. If you wait till later and the price doesn't drop, you are looking at spending around $250. Best of luck.

agreed with Emmarrelle. It's a great deal to pick one up now while they're on sale. I don't see these things hitting a price drop until late Spring early Summer.

Cheapest price I could find was $179 anywhere since black friday
So if YOu can get it for $159 I would go for it.
There is no guarantee they will be on sale at all after christmas

I purchased one for my nephew for $165. I thought it was a good price since it usually $199. If you can find one for the $159 I would buy it. Then after Christmas look for the games & se if you can find good price. I hear that the games kids like with this is the Pokemo black & white. They run about $30 each.

Amazon doesn't sell the Nintendo handhelds directly. You may see one here through a 3rd party seller, but not directly through Amazon.

$159 is a good price.

Wal-Mart currently has them for sale for $169.96 in a variety of colors (ON-LINE ONLY)
They also have a bundle (3DS + Case + 1 Game) for $189.00 and you can add additional games for $10 each

K-Mart says it's for sale for $154.99 but when you go to the page it $169.99

and Best Buy has them for $149.99 (Online order only)

Not sure about delivery or pickup, you will have to look at all that.

Thank you guys for all the help! I bought the red/black DS XL. With tax and shipping it came to $179.85. Not bad I guess.

I got one at Best Buy with Mario Kart 7 preloaded for $159.00 - wasn't even going to get it but was such a deal so my 7 year old will be thrilled.

hi , i hate to be dense but i don't have young kids and dont' understand what the nintendo game is like and why kids like it so much. can anyone enlighten me? i have a 13 year old nephew with autism, he does have an ipad, would it be worth it for him to have something like what you're talking about, is is there any learning going on, even if eye hand coordination? thanks.
