I agree, Shannie. There have been some lame threads lately. I thought they were supposed to be discussions, not one way commentaries. And, I so don't want to be caught in the middle of mud-slinging politicos.
Say, you start one on the topic of your choice, and I promise to talk to you, not at you.
Reyna and others - I think some people got thrown off when Amazon broke up a few threads that had gotten pretty long. (Hey, it is their site and we are lucky they haven't shut it down!) But, it did kind of unsettle the flow.
Plus, I think the warmer weather is distracting a lot of us. You, know, gardening, mowing, etc.
If we all drop in when we can, it can still be a good thing. With the usual basics, like no name calling and everyone gets to keep their own opinion.
When old groups break down, make a new one. That's the beauty of these forums. There is always someone to talk to no matter what time you are free. I used to stay to one or two threads but now travel around a bit when my buddies aren't online. I will keep my eye out for you all.
Shannie, I agree with you that there is probably quite a few people here trying to get attention, but politics is a topic that is not nearly enough discussed publicly in this country. If people dare to do it while they can stay anonymous online I think this is a great step forward. Have a good day!
